Wicked Ways 3: The Fine Lines ( part 1 ) By Kieron Wells ( Dark Helmet ) ( star_tropics@hotmail.com ) The story so far: Eve Ill and Eddie were two new students at Acme Looniversity. Eve quickly became known for her bad temper and gothic fashion sense. She had a brief relationship with Montana Max, but broke if off quickly. Eddie knew another side of Eve, and to dispel the reputation of her being totally violent and dislikeable, he revealed the truth about going to Perfecto, her real name being Vicky, and the reasons for both her and his dislike towards the rich and powerful to most of Acme Looniversity. After a final violent episode, which seemingly resulted in the end of Perfecto Prep, Vicky had promised to end the violent spells. The shadow hit the pile of rubble in an instant. It had cost millions to build, and took only hours to knock down. The smoke still seeped up off the rocks. The figure looming over it touched the wreckage for a second before standing up. " ... and the insurance will pay how much?" he asked in a deep voice. " Twenty million," a skinny rat with glasses answered. The figure nodded and began to walk away. Just before he could step into his white stretch limo, the insurance adjuster spoke again. " Will you be doing anything about the punk kids who did this?" The figure smirked for a moment before answering. " It's my business. I'll take care of it." The limo sped away in a cloud of dust. Heading down the highway, it passed a motorcycle with three people piled on it. One of them, the sixteen year - old driver, kept laughing and swerving as they rode. The three were Vicky, Babs, and Fifi, who looked very unusual with motorcycle helmets on that were clearly far too large for their heads. " Do we really have to go this fast?" Babs asked. " Hey! It's still safer than being in a car with you!" Vicky shouted in reply. The three shot right past the old Perfecto property, and back into downtown Acme Acres. It was past midnight on an early December Friday, and the three had been going around like this for the past four hours. Finally, they all agreed it was too cold and they were all too tired to continue this little joyride, so Vicky dropped the two at home and she headed back into her re - painted home. It was amazing how fast it went from dark red and black to blue and white. Vicky pulled in to her own house just as the limo she had passed earlier was once again going by. She hardly gave it a second look as she applied the break and entered her home. Without even realizing it, another month had passed. It was envelope time yet again for her, and surely enough she found the small envelope on the floor by the mail slot. It seemed unusually thin as she picked it up and opened it. Vicky thought maybe her parents had become smarter and sent her a check for once. There was no check, however. There was no money at all. Just a note. " You will be contacted by a business associate tomorrow, signed your father," Vicky read out loud. " Gee, I love it when Dad gets sentimental..." She crumpled up the envelope and threw it out as she walked up the stairs. She and just about drifted off into sleep when the phone rang. She answered reluctantly, but heard no reply on the other end. She hung up, knowing it was Eddie being too nervous to say anything once again. He still felt embarrassed after telling Vicky how he felt, but she had practically forgotten. It was noon the following day, and Vicky was forced out of a deep sleep by the phone once again. She considered tossing it through the window, but instead answered. " What?" She asked, pushing her hair out of her face. " This is a representative of the Blake offices, a subsidiary of Blake Dollars inc. Mr. King Blake requests your presence at the main offices twelve o'clock Monday. If you are unable to keep your appointment, don't expect to get another one." Vicky slammed the phone down and went back to sleep. As she slept, across Acme Acres, Hamton was calling Fifi and getting no response. She was home, but not picking up. She still had yet to forgive him for his jealous behavior. The rest of the weekend passed without another major event. Eddie still hadn't forced up the courage to say word one to Vicky, Fifi and Hamton had yet to return to speaking terms, and everybody else just basically wasted time Saturday and Sunday. Monday came and, as usual, the entire school sat in the cafeteria discussing the happenings of the weekend that had just passed. Not a person at Buster's table had a thing to say, until Vicky finally broke the silence. " So, I finally heard from a parent this weekend. I wonder if this has anything to do with that whole Perfecto mess," Vicky said. She explained how her father hadn't tried to call her since she moved out, and she only ever heard anything regarding him when her monthly conversation with her mother rolled around. She also explained that she needed a way to get out of class to go to her father's business. " Leave that one to me," Babs instructed her. Plucky was the last one to arrive at the table. He forced his way in between Buster and Babs and began speaking. " Have any of you heard the latest rumor?" Plucky asked. Before enough time had elapsed for an answer, Plucky kept talking. " I heard all the Perfecto kids are going to be sent here." " That's insane! Don't lie like that!" Vicky shouted. She then stormed away from the table. " Plucky, they would never come to Acme Looniversity. Where do you come up with this?" Buster asked. Plucky insisted that he heard it from a reliable source, but nobody bought that. It was assumed Plucky fabricated the whole story, and it was passed off as a lie. The time to leave rolled around. Vicky prepared to give the prepared sign to leave. Babs and Buster. The two rabbits assumed it would be interesting to see exactly what the incredibly rich father of Vicky, of whom they knew almost nothing about, did to become so rich. Plucky wasn't invited, but if he was, it was assumed that he would be taking notes the whole time they were there. " Ready?" Vicky asked Babs. Babs nodded yes. Vicky raised her hand. " What is, I say, what is it?" Foghorn Leghorn, the substitute history teacher, asked. Vicky stood up, looking perfectly healthy. She looked directly at Foghorn Leghorn, clutched her side and shouted," Ow, my appendix." " Does a toon have an appendix?" Babs asked Buster in a whisper. Buster shrugged. Babs spin changed into a nurse, and pulled out a stretcher. Buster grabbed the other end, Vicky threw herself on the stretcher, and Buster and Babs ran out carrying her. The two ran with her until they reached the front of the school, and with an ambulance waiting, they tossed her in and entered the front. Babs sat down in the driver's seat, and they sped off. The ambulance continually swerved between the two lanes of the road, narrowly missing collisions with several other vehicles. Buster and Vicky both slid down to the floor, preventing themselves from looking out the window and seeing how close to crashing they were coming. After twenty death - defying minutes riding along with Babs, they pulled into the largest office building any of the three had ever seen. It seemed to go up for thousands of floors, with the roof nowhere in sight. The building was painted white with black outlines around the windows, and it was so large that it cast a shadow over the rest of the surrounding area. The parking lot was filled with luxury cars and limos pulling in and out. Babs stepped out of the driver's side door and pulled out a pair of binoculars. She looked up to the highest point she could possibly see on the building and could barely make out the company name at the top. " This must be the place," Babs told the other two. " You can stop cowering under the seats now." Buster and Vicky pulled themselves up from underneath the seats, shook for a few seconds later before realizing the ride was finally over, and then stepped out. The three walked through the doors of the towering structure. They slid open automatically. The next set were opened by Vicky inserting a silver security card, and then a gold credit card. The final security point to enter the building was a security guard sitting in front of a door with his hand stuck out. " You have to pay to get in?" Babs asked. Vicky nodded no. She slapped the guards hands, which prompted the opening of the door. The two rabbits almost had their breath taken away when they saw the inside. The ceilings were higher than Acme Looniversity. There was a red carpet going down the center of the hall. The doors were plated with gold. A statue of a tall figure with a goatee and a long coat on sat in the center of the hall, adjacent to two colossal fountains. Employees, most of home seemed to be rats, walked the halls chattering about business into cell phones and ignoring everybody else. Vicky led the two to the elevator. There was a security officer inside the elevator who asked to see proof of identification. Buster and Babs pulled out Acme student cards, but Vicky drew a huge pile of cash. The guard nodded and let them on. The elevator was practically the size of a house. There were butlers serving champagne to the riders, and classical music playing. The red carpet was also present inside. Vicky stared during her great boredom at the ceiling, while Buster and Babs looked on almost in awe at this place. The button for floor 547 was pushed, and the elevator ascended. The ride took almost twenty minutes, ended with a loud ring, and the three walked off. The top floor was the most expensive looking room yet. It was only two rooms, with a door and wall barely visible several hundred feet away. There was another red carpet leading all the way down, and as Vicky guided the two bunnies to the door, they continued looking around like they had never seen anything like it before. The best those two had ever seen was Montana Max's house, and this made Monty's mansion look like a shack. The three were almost out of breath when they reached the end of the hall. Immediately after walking all that way, they noticed the conveyor belt a few feet to the right that was there to carry them. They all groaned after realizing all the time and effort that had just been wasted. There was a secretary sitting outside the door, counting through a pile of money. She was a rat with heavy lipstick and sunglasses on. There wasn't a piece of paper or computer on her desk, and when she pulled open a drawer it was filled with jewelry. " I'm here to see King Blake," Vicky told the secretary. The secretary rudely answered by pointing to the intercom next to the door. " You have to call your father King?" Babs asked. " Wow, he must have a huge ego." " King? King of what?" Buster asked. " It's his name!" Vicky shouted in reply. Buster and Babs were both quiet after hearing her angry reply. Vicky was becoming more and more tense as she reached for the intercom. Finally, after forcing her shaking finger to hit the button, the intercom buzzed, and the sound of somebody yawning from inside. " How dare you wake me up. It's the middle of the work day, you know," a deep voice form within said. " It's Vicky" Vicky said. " Ah, daughter Victoria. You actually showed up. Still dressing like a side show?" Vicky said nothing. She paused for a few moments, and stopped Buster and Babs from defending her before they could say a word. " What do you want?" Vicky asked. " Now why do you assume I want something? Can't a loving father have a nice, leisurely chat with his daughter and his two overly - inquisitive friends?" " Sure, but what does that have to do with you?" Vicky asked. There was another period of silence, but then the man spoke again. " How's the house? Fallen apart yet? If it hasn't, we could always sell it for a nice profit." Vicky took her hand off the intercom for a moment, and turned to Buster and Babs. " Is this his way of being sentimental and asking you to move home?" Babs asked. " This is his way of trying to add another couple of hundred thousand to his account." Vicky returned to the conversation, where her father constantly reminded her of the option to return home. " Why do you keep mentioning this?" Vicky asked. " I'm a business man, and as such I feel it is my duty to advise others of the options available to them. Anyway, that isn't all that important for now. We shall discuss that later. Say, do I smell a lack of money out there? Tell me, who is with you?" " Buster Bunny, Babs Bunny, they aren't related," Vicky told him. " I'm surprised security didn't throw them out the door." Babs' face became red, and steam began shooting out of her ears. " If you had to bring somebody from that dreadful school you are choosing to waste your youth in, at least bring that irritating child with the grotesquely large head and all the money." Now Vicky was angry. She felt like knocking the door down and giving him what his comments deserved, but then she stopped. She remembered how she had willing used the behavior deterrent machine to stop her violent impulses, so she could do nothing. " Anyway, I don't have time for all this worthless chit chat. We shall talk more later when you are your home, for the moment. And, then, we will discuss the small Perfecto Prep issue." " I don't know if you're aware of this," Vicky began," but there is no more Perfecto Prep to make an issue out of." " Precisely," King said. " When you all get to school tomorrow, there will be a little surprise. Good - bye." The three stepped on the conveyor belt and were pulled out of the office. Buster and Babs both looked insulted, but Vicky just looked annoyed. They all left the building and prepared to head aback, only to witness that the vehicle they had come in being towed away. Buster whistled and, instead of a taxi, a limo came to the side of the building. " Charge this ride to Mr. Blake," Vicky instructed the driver. " Okay but the last person to charge anything to him was never seen again. The rumor is he was sentenced to work at UPN," the driver replied. The three shuttered, and got in the back. Buster and Babs sipped at the carrot juice they found in the mini - refrigerator in the back. Vicky stared out the tinted windows and frowned. That night wasn't a pleasant one for Vicky. She stayed awake all night wondering what kind of a surprise her father could have in mind. She made a midnight call to Eddie to let him know what had happened, and that got the blue skunk just as worried as her. Buster and Babs were too busy telling the stories about what they saw to even think about the comment King had made in passing, but the next morning they would have no way of ignoring it. The Acme Looniversity students all arrived at the normal time the next morning. From the outside it appeared to be normal, but once inside the "surprise" was more than obvious. Waiting for Buster and Babs as they walked in were Roderick and Rubella Rat, standing next to the door with the angriest facial expressions in cartoon history. The two gasped in horror after seeing them, and once looking past them, they noticed that practically the entire Perfecto Student body had been transplanted to Acme Looniversity. They were placing items in lockers that belonged to other students, complaining about the lousy building, the teachers, and the other students. " What are you doing here?" Buster asked, barely able to get those words out without hyperventilating. " Shut up rabbit," Roderick replied. " Thanks to that lunatic and some friends of hers, we're stuck here with the likes of you." Roderick followed that up by taking a puff from his cigarette, blowing it in Buster's face, and walking off as the blue rabbit coughed from the smoke. Babs was about to say something, but she noticed a tall female duck removing the contents of Babs' locker, so she dashed over and stopped her. The two kept throwing each other's personal items around the hall, hitting any passer by. One book thrown in the dispute hit Bugs directly between the eyes, and knocked him down. " This is my locker now, loser," the girl said. There were scenes like this playing out everywhere in the school. Doubling the school population in a day would be more than a little strenuous for any institute of learning, but to combine two student bodies who hated each other was a disaster. Three minutes before the actual start of classes, Vicky walked in looking dead on her feet from lack of sleep. She stumbled in and was immediately approached by Babs. " Vicky, have you noticed anything since walking in?" Babs asked with some panic in her voice. " Shh... not awake yet... talk to me in five minutes..." Vicky forced out with her head slumped down towards the floor. Babs continued to try to talk to her as she headed for the cafeteria. Vicky didn't listen to a word she said. Finally, Vicky got a cup of coffee and turned to Babs while drinking it. " Talk to me now," Vicky said, sounding like she had at least a little energy. " Have you noticed any odd looking students around this morning?" Babs inquired. " They all look odd here." " I mean some REALLY odd looking ones?" Vicky looked around. She saw the rats all around the cafeteria, and turned back to her coffee. After about three seconds, she took another look, her eyes grew wide, and she spit her boiling hot coffee all over the crowded cafeteria. " What's going on?!?" she cried. " This must have been his little surprise!" What was said next was bleeped out by the censors. Vicky's jaw hit the floor, and she ran out. Her sprint down the hall lead her to running right into Eddie, knocking both of them to the floor. " Perfecto... here... now!" Vicky shouted in a frenzy. " Calm down. What exactly are you talking about?" Eddie asked. Before she could answer, they were approached by a tall teenage cougar wearing expensive clothes and wore a sneer on his face. " Greetings," he said. Eddie looked up, and after seeing the face, shot to his feet. " Get lost Derek," Eddie replied. " This is a switch. She's hiding behind you for once instead of the other way around." Eddie could hardly hold himself back from letting Derek have it. He balled up his fist, and prepared to punch him when the bell rang. Derek walked off, looking very impressed with himself. " This is a nightmare," Vicky said to Eddie as they headed for class. In first, half the students had to stand as the Perfectos were given priority seating. Buster, Babs, Vicky, and Eddie were among the standing at the back of the room. Daffy was the teacher of the class, so it assumed that he took the money to give the new wealthy students special treatment. Montana Max was beginning to feel jealous at the site of all these kids richer than himself. " It's all a dream," Eddie said softly to himself. " When I open my eyes, it will all be over..." Vicky just stood and scowled. She had never been this angry in her life, and knowing that her own relative did this to her only made the problem worse. The only distraction, which was on the mind of Buster and Babs as well, was what exactly did King have to do with putting the Perfecto kids here? And, why would he do that? No answers were going to come to them, but it kept their minds off the Acme arch rivals sitting a few feet from them. " All right, who can tell me who founded Warner Bros.?" Daffy asked the class. Roderick was called upon for the answer. " My family," he said. " That's incorrect," Plucky informed him. Roderick slipped him some money. " Oh wait, that is correct." Things were not much better across the school. Hamton and Fifi had the same class now, and were also forced to stand. They ended up next to each other. " Hey Fifi." No answer. He turned away and stared at the floor. He didn't care half as much about the Perfecto students as he did about apologizing to Fifi. The morning passed with a variety of verbal arguments and near - fights all over the school. This all escalated to a boiling point at lunch, when the former Perfecto students inhabited one end of the room, and the true Acme Students banded together on the other. The two sides started a silent standoff from the start of lunch. Nobody spoke a word as the sides stared bitterly at each other. Two -thirds of the cafeteria was empty, and nobody sat down. Vicky was hesitant to enter the cafeteria, but Eddie kept trying to make her. " Come on, it'll be fun; you can break a table over Derek's head or something," Eddie told her. " No I can't. Thanks to that stupid machine I agreed to use at the end of the last story, there is now way I can give the Perfectos what they deserve." Eddie tried to coax her into going in for a minute longer, but then just gave up and walked in alone. He went and stood by the Acme Students. Coincidentally, he ended up right next to Fifi. Hamton was going to say something, but stopped himself. There was no point in further self - incrimination. From across the room, Derek began to give Eddie smug looks. Eddie lost it at that point. He took his large, blue skunk tail, pointed directly at Derek, and fired skunk scent at him. A few Perfecto students passed out from the smell. That set off a near - riot. The Perfecto students found some of the food trays and began throwing the green cafeteria Spam. Fifi joined in the skunk scenting, and everybody else made use of food, tables, and whatever else they could get their hands on. There was chaos as the entire cafeteria was ripped to shreds. Everybody inside had some form of food on them, several students were on the floor with others stepping on them without realizing it, Just about the whole school was involved. Nobody really knew how fierce the rivalry between the two schools was until this point. It was obvious that coexisting for the next seven months was going to be impossible. In the middle of the skirmish, an unidentified Perfecto student threw a pie in the direction of Fifi. Before it could collide with her, Hamton bounded in front of the flying pastry and was hit with it himself. More food items were thrown her way, and each time Hamton stopped them. Fifi didn't say anything at the time, but she did notice he was doing this. Vicky stayed out in the hall and observed, witnessing the escalating projectile wars happening within. Occasionally, an object or two would fly out the doors. She wanted to go inside and assist the Acme side, but she couldn't. It took fifteen minutes or so, but Yosemite Sam cam in to attempt to break up the fight. He emerged seconds later with torn clothing, covered in food and smelling like several skunks. The conflict finally ended when the bell rang for the end of lunch. The entire student body left the room, each one in terrible shape. On the way back to class, Vicky walked past Bugs' office on the way to the class subsequent to lunch. She paused for a moment and listened in to what Bugs was saying. " Doc, this isn't gonna work... these kids can't go to school together... yes, I know it's not up to me but... good bye," Bugs uttered. Vicky had no idea who Bugs was talking to, and she didn't stop to ask. All afternoon, every conversation in every room in the school concerned the incident at lunch, with each side claiming victory. No actual class work was done for the rest of the day; the arguments never stopped. The only upside was that at least there were not more physical attacks like the ones at noon. " Why weren't you there? We could have used you!" Babs exclaimed to Vicky, who didn't look amused in the least. " Believe me, I would have loved to have run in there and busted a few heads, but it isn't really possible. Now I have Derek following my around and being a total jerk, my father talking about me moving home, and Eddie has been almost afraid to talk to me until the last couple of days. What's next?" Just then, a message was delivered via the speaker system in the school. " Victoria Blake, your motorcycle is being towed." Vicky buried her face in her hands and yelled into them. " This is why we don't as those questions around here," Babs explained to her. The longest day in the history of Acme Looniversity ended appropriately enough: the buses pulling out crashed into the limos that were called to pick up the rich students. Most people just decided to walk, and Vicky, Eddie, Buster and Babs were planning to follow suit when one last limo arrived and pulled up next to the four. " Get in, Miss Victoria," the driver instructed. " Gee, let me guess who sent this one over..." Vicky said to herself. The four of them sat down in the back, and from a little ways away Plucky spotted them stepping into the vehicle. After noticing the unimaginable length of the limo, the green duck made a run for the door. He almost made it into the back, but the door slammed shut on his beak. The car drove a few feet before anyone inside noticed the yellow beak slammed in the door, and Buster opened it and let him inside. " I was always hoping you would take a ride with a strange man Plucky," Vicky said," I just wish you had gone with a different one than the one driving us home." " What are you doing?" Babs asked him. " Trying to get a ride home." Vicky sighed at his presence, and everybody but Plucky had a miserable looking face. " What's wrong with all of you? I don't mind those rich kids at all!" Plucky declared. " Plucky, just because they are rich doesn't mean they will give you money, and none of the rich girls would ever go out with you," Vicky told him. " We'll see about that." Four of the five in the car spent the riding complaining about the Perfecto students, . while the fifth passenger defended them, despite the fact none of the affluent students could hear him. Following the exit of the other four, Vicky was the last one left in the car. She expected to also be dropped off at home, but was surprised when the car passed by her house. " Where exactly are we going?" Vicky inquired. " Your home. The mansion, madam." " I don't live there!" She protested. " I have my orders." Vicky made up her mind that she was not going to the mansion, the place where she used to live. It had been several months since she had set foot in there, and now was not the time. She opened the back door of the limo, and jumped out onto a lawn. The driver kept going without noticing the passenger had departed. The house she landed directly in front of looked oddly familiar. After taking a second look, she noticed it was Elmyra's domicile ( she recognized it because Monty had brought her by this place months ago ). Elmyra ran outside the second she noticed somebody on her lawn. " Oh, I was hoping you were on of those cute hippity hops," Elmyra said in disappointment after seeing who it was. "Sorry to disappoint you," Vicky said sarcastically. Vicky was about to leave, when she suddenly realized the opportunity that was presenting itself. Vicky wrote an address on a piece of paper and instructed Elmyra to go there. Vicky then began the walk home. Elmyra left and eventually arrived at the address given to her. The house was a large mansion. She rang the doorbell and Derek Cougarmoore answered. " And you are?" he asked in his usual stuck up voice. " Ooooh! You're the cutest kitty witty ever!" Elmyra exclaimed. " I want to take you home, and..." " Get off my property, you psycho!" Derek shouted so loud that the sound almost knocked Elmyra down. Elmyra didn't listen, took Derek around the neck and started dragging him off. She didn't get very far before the family's personal security staff ran outside, pulled him away from Elmyra, and tossed Elmyra into the street. "I'll be back you cutie wutie kitty witty!" Elmyra declared. The automatic, gold - plated gates slid shut within seconds. Vicky finally arrived home after walking for half an hour, and surely enough the second she walked in her front door the phone rang. She picked up and was told to wait a second for a message from the associates of Mr. King Blake. " Victoria Blake, your father has requested your presence at the mansion. He expresses his immense disappointment with your failure to appear home at the appropriate time. Please come at your earliest convenience." Vicky asked herself how her father expected her to get there, but that answer was provided quickly enough. A loud engine could be heard in her driveway, and when Vicky looked outside she saw her motorcycle had been returned. Of course, that didn't really matter since she had no interest in going. Instead, she journeyed upstairs, called Babs, and told her about what had happened. " Why don't you just go?" Babs asked. " It'll get him off your back at least." " Oh yeah, I really want to go," Vicky said sarcastically. " If I went over there, he would start telling me about his money, and show me all the worthless stuff he bought with his money, and he would be especially cruel to the butlers for the sole purpose of showing off. And, besides all that, he would bring up the moving back home subject again, and bring up what happened with Perfecto." " Speaking of Perfecto," Babs reminded her," if you went over there, maybe you could find out exactly what he had to do with those elitist losers coming to our school." She thought about it for a minute. Finally, she said she would go, and informed Babs that she was also going. Before Babs could argue that point, Vicky had hung up the phone and was already starting her motorcycle. " Why do you want me there?" Babs asked her from the back of the bike. " To bug him. Plus, you and Buster have always had this ability to find stuff out." " Since when?" Babs asked. " You found out about me, didn't you?" They picked up Buster, who was reluctant to go but forced anyway. On the trip, the three passed by the houses of all the rich of Acme Acres, and in some cases they could see former Perfecto students inside their abodes. They arrived in what seemed like the center of snob central. Another monumental structure stood before them, this one making the rest of the wealthy family's dwellings look small in comparison. Vicky led the two rabbits to the front door, which they needed a map to find because of the size of the front lawn. Buster took the liberty of ringing the doorbell, which was promptly answered by seven separate butlers. Vicky walked in without any trouble, but when Buster and Babs attempted to follow the butlers threw them to the ground. " It's okay, they're with me," Vicky explained. The butlers exchanged shifty - eyed glances, but eventually let the two in. The first thing to greet the trio once entering was a map, similar to one found in a mall, that had " You are here " written in large, red letters at the bottom. Before any of them could get a good look at the map, the intercom flipped on. " Greetings daughter Victoria," King's voice stated. " Don't tell me you have brought you less - than - prosperous friends back with you." " What does it matter to you?" " I was hoping we could finally speak in private. Buzzer, Bats, or whatever your names are, please let yourselves out. Take the back door; I don't want the neighbors to see you." Buster and Babs stood looking at the map for a moment to attempt to locate the back door, but they couldn't, so the two just wandered off, hoping to find it themselves. " So, what do you want?" Vicky inquired. " I can't just have a friendly chat?" " Your idea of a friendly chat seems to involve politely greeting somebody before informing them that you are taking over his or her company." King laughed for a moment at the impression he had made. " Come on now, you don't really think that do you?" King asked insincerely. " Well, of course you do. You always were the cynic in the family. So, tell me about your friends. What cardboard box did you find them in?" Vicky didn't answer. Defending her friends would be pointless in this situation, and it didn't really seem like her anyway. " Get to the point before I leave." " Very well. Victoria, I want you to come back home. And not to that little house I bought you in the suburbs, I mean here. The mansion." " Why?" " Do I have to explain? Listen, I would rather you live in this house and be protected." Vicky laughed out loud. " Protected? You mean so you can keep an eye on me." While this not - so - loving exchange was going on, Buster and Babs had managed to get themselves lost. They had been up or down eight different flights or stairs, been through countless doors, and asked what seemed like thousands of butlers and maids how to get out only to be ignored. " Maybe we should have taken the map with us," Babs said. Buster's idea for finding the way out was to open every single door until they finally found an exit. After opening one particular door, a shrill woman's scream was heard. Initially, Buster had thought somebody was in trouble in there, but really he had opened the door leading to the shower room. The last room the two found down a dark alley had more gold on the door than the rest of the house. There was also a strange looking face engraved on the door, and a huge lock. Buster and Babs tried pulling on the door, but of course it didn't budge. Acme TNT didn't do a thing to it either, and the Acme bulldozer didn't make a scratch. Deciding this was not the exit, the two moved on. Vicky was still not being convinced by a thing that King was saying to her. Her father was the single most insincere man she had ever met, and she knew there had to be some reason why he wanted her back after he had seemed so relieved that she had left. " Enough about me," Vicky finally said. " Let's talk about you. Was the Perfecto infection your bright idea?" " Of course. I thought you would be happy to see your old friends again." Vicky wasn't amused at this comment. She could feel the urge to run upstairs and start smashing objects ( and faces ), but she couldn't. The machine was kicking in again. It seemed like the programming she volunteered for was working all too well on her. " Why exactly did you do this? And, come to think of it, how did you do that? You don't have any connection to all of those brats except you are just as rich and stuck up as all of them." " That's enough for today. I am displeased, Victoria, that you did not avail yourself of my offer to move back in. Your room seems very cold and empty when you aren't around." " ... like your heart..." " I get the feeling you will be persuaded to return to where you belong. It is a shame that there is no more Perfecto for you to go back to, but that is an issue for another day and time." Vicky was about to walk out the front door without saying goodbye, but then she stopped. Not to say anything to King, but to find Buster and Babs. She ran up the seventh flight of stairs from the left, and entered a room on the right hand side. Inside was a large amount of military equipment. She wedged herself between a few military officers and sat down at the radar. After pressing a few buttons, she located Buster and Babs in sector twelve of the mansion. " How have we not found the exit yet?" Babs asked Buster as they entered the second hour of looking. " We have seen the tiger room, the weather creation machine, the aliens, the football field, and all four spy satellites." " Just keep walking in a straight line from here," Vicky said from behind them. " You'd be surprised how small this place looks once you're used to it." The three left, and climbed back on the large black cycle sitting in the driveway ( she wouldn't let the valets touch it ). During the ride back, Buster and Babs held on for dear life as an angry - looking Vicky traveled at three times the speed limit. The three passed Little Beeper on the street, and the road behind them was beginning to light on fire. Buster and Babs both called for her to slow down, but she didn't listen to them. She didn't stop at red lights, and came close to causing several huge collisions. She also didn't notice the dead end sign on one street, and they subsequently smashed through a fence and into a construction site. The bike was fine, somehow. " Next time could you go a bit slower?" Babs asked, her hear still pounding from the ride. " I could hear the sound barrier shattering." Buster would have made a similar comment, but he was too occupied with pulling the insect life from his teeth that had flown in during the trip. " Maybe you two should walk the rest of the way," Vicky suggested. The two rabbits dashed out of there in seconds. Vicky pulled her bike out of a hole in the ground, got back on, and rode again. Back at home, Eddie was thinking only about Vicky's situation. The blue skunk knew King better than anybody, and that included Vicky. Eddie, too, had a rich family out in the land of the raised nose, but he still spoke to them sometimes. There used to be a debate among Perfecto class families as to which family was richer, Eddie's or the Blake family, but eventually Vicky's family won. Eddie wasn't entirely preoccupied with the situation with King; he was also thinking about how he might use the situation to get closer to her. He still felt like a complete jerk for telling Vicky was he felt before, and he had regretted it for every second thereafter. He was pacing around his modest living room with the radio playing in the background, when suddenly the sounds of his speakers were drowned out by a motor. A very loud motor that was clearly drawing closer and closer to his home. He looked out the window just in time to see Vicky about to smash through the wall. He braced for impact, but was relieved when somehow she stopped just inches from taking half the house out. " Vicky... what a pleasant surprise," Eddie greeted her. " He did it again. He calls me over there, goes on a snobbish tirade, asks me to move back and then I leave. What is with him?" " Need to talk?" Eddie asked. " No, I need to break things! I need to punch Derek! I need to tell Court Jester off! I need those Perfecto jerks out of my school! But, I can't make any of those things happen!" Feeling the need to once again relay every single detail of what she had seen to others, Babs was on the phone within seconds calling various friends. The phone rang at Hatmon's house as he was pacing around his room, working out an apology speech to Fifi out loud. He was surprised by the phone, and he answered it by asking," Fifi?!?" " Sorry to disappoint you Hamton," Babs said, " but it's only me. You would believe what I saw at the Blake's mansion. I saw..." And Babs went on about it for an hour or so. Fifi, who had already heard the over - detailed ramblings about the mansion, was now sitting in the Cadillac she called home, regretting getting so mad at Hamton. Why had she blown up at him? Her stomach was practically in knots just thinking about it. She took out an old picture of him, and sighed. Just as Fifi was depressing herself staring at the picture of her first real love, Hamton was doing the exact same thing. He had found a picture of her on the night of the first prom they attended together, and he too sighed. Why had he been so jealous? Eddie was never a real threat, and he knew that. One of the friends that Babs called up to speak about the mansion was Plucky Duck. Plucky's heart raced at the sound of all that money, fame and power. " So you're saying she has billions of dollars, and she is just passing it up because she doesn't like the other rich people?" Plucky asked. " You've got it exactly." Plucky began to drool on the floor. He pictured himself with the money, the cars, the press surrounding him, wondering about his next move. He imagined a ceremony where he was declared the richest living being on the face of the planet, and Bill Gates came to him for a loan. Plucky didn't say a word for at least five minutes, so Babs just hung the phone up. The following day at Acme Looniversity was almost a carbon copy of the last. Fights occurred all over, students were suspended, and the props room ran out of anvils because everybody kept dropping them on each other. Also, this was all in the first five minutes! Vicky was trying her best to get lost in the crowd. She stood by the wall near Buster, Babs, and the others. She wasn't going to say anything, but that ended when Plucky showed up. " Let the kissing up begin..." Plucky thought to himself as he approached Vicky. " So, Vicky. How are you?" Vicky only replied with a cold glare. Plucky forced his way passed Eddie and next to her. " Plucky, I wouldn't talk to her right now," Babs advised him. He didn't listen. " Say Vicky, I forgot money for lunch today. Do you have any of your billions with you?" Plucky asked. Vicky's glare grew more intense. She was becoming more and more tense with each passing second. Her arm began to twitch. Her face became very red. Just when she thought she couldn't become any angrier, Derek passed her in the hallway and made a sarcastic kissing motion as he walked by. He would have stayed longer and been a further menace, but he saw Elmyra approaching and quickly ran out of there. " Get down!" Eddie shouted. Everybody hit the deck and covered their heads. Vicky opened her mouth and screamed so loud that every window in both the school and on the cars in the parking lot shattered into a million tiny pieces. After the scream was over, the group waited for a few seconds to make sure it was over, and rose. There would be a persistent ringing sound in each toon's ear for the rest of the day. " Is that the bell to go to class?" Buster asked. " Same to you," Babs replied, clearly mistaking what Buster said due to the ringing. The entire school walked to class hitting themselves around the ear trying to get the sound out. Some students were rendered temporarily deaf, but it passed near the end of the day. Lunch was yet another battle of two sides. Like the day before, the schools divided and launched anything and everything they could find. After running out of food and furniture, students began tossing other students at the rival side. The difference was, this time Vicky sat around inside and watched. Roderick lifted a student that looked similar to him and threw that student towards Fifi. At the same time, Hamton was dodging a chair. Hamton and Fifi both jumped out of the way simultaneously, and collided with each other in mid - air. After regaining their senses from the fall, the two looked right at each other. " This iz insane..." Fifi commented. " Oui... I mean yes..." Hamton replied. The two became silent. They stared in the eyes of one another. Both of them puckered their lips and prepared to kiss, but just before any lips could make contact, Plucky was thrown directly between them. That spoiled the moment, and the two walked in separate directions. The end of the day was yet another conflict between the limo drivers and the bus drivers. Most of the students had given up and resolved to walk for the rest of the year. This would prove more difficult soon, considering it was December and snow was inevitable. The constant conflicts between the two schools would continue within Acme Looniversity. The cafeteria was declared a war zone and was promptly boarded up. During football practice, since technically the Perfecto players now played for Acme, the team fought within itself until coach Foghorn Leghorn just gave up on the season. Every corruptible teacher in the school had been paid off. In this time, Bugs had participated countless private phone conversations with the person responsible for the Perfecto students being at Acme Looniversity in the first place, but so far there seemed to be little to no chance they would be leaving anytime soon. Several Acme students arrived at Buster's home on a mid - December Friday. Not one of them seemed to be in particularly good spirits. " So nobody here has any good ideas to get the Perfectos to finally leave?" Buster asked. Everybody nodded a disappointing no. They all let out a collective sigh, and then just sat silently. " This is terrible," Babs commented. " In most episodes, we would have solved the problem by now." " Like, those losers totally have nowhere to go," Shirley added. " If we could find just one unhappy student on the Perfecto side, I'm sure he or she'd do something to get them to leave." Plucky saw an opportunity now. He volunteered to search for that student, thinking it would give him a chance to get closer to the rich and powerful, and make a considerable amount of money himself. Plucky left immediately, running to the upper - class neighborhood. Before anybody else said anything, the phone rang. " Victoria Blake please," the deep voice on the other end said. Buster handed Vicky the phone, knowing full well who it was. " And how are your Perfecto friends?" King asked. " Why are you calling me? You ruin the first enjoyable school experience I have ever had, and now you call me every couple of days seemingly for no reason. Why is that?" " Haven't I made myself perfectly clear already?" King asked. " I would be partial to your return home as opposed to your continued absence. Now entertain this aspiration of mine, while the opportunity is still right there in front of you. I may be forced to take harsh measures if you once again decline." Vicky said nothing. She slammed the phone down, and her face became beet - red. She frowned with a row of teeth showing through, and steam shot out of her ears. She left without saying another word. As all of this was going on, Plucky was in the high society end of Acme Acres. He rang a doorbell of a particularly large house around nine o'clock that night. " May I help you?" a bald - headed butler asked. " Are there currently any students of Acme Looniversity in your house? I am here from Sizable Snob magazine. I am taking a survey," Plucky explained. " One moment," the butler replied. He returned a second later. " Miss Rubella asked me to give you this." The butler pulled his foot back and kicked Plucky across the street. " What was that for?" Plucky yelled. " She says that is for not putting her on the cover last month." Plucky moved on, and had innumerable doors slammed in his face, or worse at times. He was about to give up when he reached a house where the butler who answered the door was immediately shoved aside. A light green rabbit with a circle on the top of his head shaved completely bald stood before Plucky now. " And you are?" he asked. " Writer for Sizable Snob," Plucky replied. The door was slammed immediately. In all the other cases, he had to explain what he wanted before having the door closed on him. " ... stupid Derek, probably sent that guy over to show off..." the green rabbit said to himself after closing the grandiose door. " He'd love to take credit for everything..." The remaining toons that had congregated after school continued to sit in Buster's burrow, attempting to take their minds off of the invasion of Acme Loo. Babs noticed how Hamton and Fifi frequently looked at each other. They were, however, sitting on opposite sides of the room. Babs stood up, and when Hamton and Fifi looked away, Babs picked a couple of others up by the head and moved them around. She continued to re - arrange students until Hamton and Fifi were next to each other. " Excuse me, I have to go to the little rabbit's room," Babs said. She walked off, motioning for Buster to get up to. He didn't move an inch, so Babs walked back over and said," Buster has to, also." She took Buster by his forearm and pulled him out of the room. Shirley and Eddie quickly caught on to what was happening, and they too left the room. This left Fifi and Hamton alone next to each other. " So..." Hamton said uncomfortable. " It's... cold outside..." " Oui..." The two both sighed, desperately trying to devise some sort of conversation topic. After a few minutes of silence, they both opened their mouths to speak, but before a word could come out ( they were both intending to apologize for before ), Plucky rushed down the hole leading to the burrow yelling in fear. " Run! Killer butlers on the loose!" Plucky cried. " Killer butlers?" everybody replied concurrently. Buster looked out of the top of the burrow and saw a colossal assembly of servants to the rich were running towards Buster's domicile, yelling incoherently. " They became the slightest bit annoyed that I kept pestering them at their houses," Plucky explained. Just before any of them could get inside, Buster placed a cover over the opening in the burrow at the last second. Vicky drove around for hours on her motorcycle without even blinking. For every second of the last week she had regretted ever letting that machine alter her personality. It may have had a good effect of Fowlmouth years ago, but it was only contributing to the ruin of her life. She didn't really know how much worse this was going to get until she arrived at home. She drove up to the house and saw several men walking in and out of her house, and there was now a sign on her front lawn that read "For Sale" in red letters. Several people were taking her possessions from the house and placing it in a yellow Acme U - Drag moving truck. " What are you doing?!?" she yelled. Nobody answered, so she ran inside and saw more people moving her stuff. As more people took things out, she tried to stop them only to be pushed aside. She watched as everything she owned was removed from the house by large, muscular people. The living room had already been stripped of everything, and so had the kitchen. She ran up to her room and saw somebody about to take some items from the closet, but she quickly grabbed them away. Her room was almost empty now, so she ran to the attic. The entire contents of the attic except for three boxes had been removed and loaded into the truck waiting outside. The only things left were four plain boxes with only the labels " Junk 1 -4 " on them. She took them down herself. " What are you people doing?" she tried answering again. Once again, nobody answered so she ran downstairs to the front door and slammed it shut. " Let's try this again. What are you morons doing in my house and loading my stuff into a moving van?" " Read 'dis," one of the movers instructed. He handed her a small, white piece of paper with writing on it. " Dear Victoria, you have compelled me to take matters into my own hands. Clearly you have failed to realize what is in your own best interests, so I figured I must show you what would be superlative for your well existence. Your possessions are being transported back to the homestead where you truly belong. I trust that you will follow the truck as it proceeds to the destination of the mansion. You may have what money is made from the sale of your current residents. I look forward to your presence - King Blake," Vicky read out loud. She then crumpled the piece of paper and threw it on the ground. The movers pulled out of her driveway and drove off with the sound of the motor carrying all over Acme Acres. Vicky had thrown the last four boxes in already. She thought about just leaving on her motorcycle and not going to the mansion, but it was below zero outside now and at least the mansion would be somewhere to go. She drove in through the gates of her old home at around ten thirty. King had always detested the motorcycle, so she left it out in plain sight. She removed her helmet and walked in. The movers, meanwhile, were carrying everything in the back door. " Honey, I'm home," she called as she walked in the door. The sound of footsteps coming down the stairs was the first thing she heard. " Finally," a voice from upstairs called. " You are finally back." Vicky laughed momentarily. " Finally?" King was about to answer, but the phone rang. A butler carried the portable phone upstairs on a cloth and handed it to King. " Excuse me, it's my insurance company. I have to answer this." King walked back up the stairs without ever being seen by Vicky. " Hello Mr. Blake," the voice on the other end said. " It's about time you people called me back!" King shouted out of earshot from everybody else. " Where exactly is my twenty million dollars?" " Claims such as this take a long time to process. Besides, we are still looking into how this little disaster of yours happened." " Well, I doubt you will find anything, so just give me my money!" The insurance adjuster once again tried explaining how such a large sum took time to be settled, but King was being irrational. He took the phone and threw it down a flight of stairs, smashing it into little pieces. He then paced down the stairs and for the first time in months looked his daughter in the face. " Victoria, you look human again," King commented once he took a look at her. King stood there, a very tall man with short, black hair and a thin goatee. He wore a frown on his face, with a suit and tie on and a pair on sunglasses in his right hand. " I wish I could say the same for you. You look like the same monstrous, elitist snob I left months ago," Vicky replied. King showed no emotion. " I assume you are still irate over my gesture to prompt your return home, so I shall ignore your emotion - driven comments and pass them off as no more than the idiotic banter you spewed when you used to complain about Perfecto Prep, a fine educational facility. Or, at least, it was." King's frown grew deeper after he mentioned the name of the school. " That is a matter we must discuss, and soon. I will give you a chance to get settled and then we will talk about it. I trust you won't have any... outbursts on you way up." Vicky didn't answer; she simply walked upstairs and into a room that was the size of the house she had been living in and began to unpack. It was just like she had left it: everything painted in light colors, a huge closet, carpeted floors, and a ceiling twenty feet off the ground. There was a chandelier hanging from the center of her room and a big screen television across from her bed. She had always felt uncomfortable in this place, and now it was worse. As she sat down and began to sulk, there was a knock on the door. " What do you want?" she asked. " It's me," the voice of her mother replied. She walked in, and forced a smile. " How are you?" " Never been worse. Thanks for asking." " Why are you mad? You are back in the luxury this family entitles you to, and we are very pleased to have you back." Vicky laughed sarcastically. " Yeah, I'd bet. I mean, I left on such great terms." " You were a Goth! What do you think the neighbors were saying?" " Oh no, somebody around here broke the chain of conformity?" Vicky stormed off without letting the conversation continue. She ran off downstairs and entered King's personal office. " Let's talk business, Victoria," King said. " Tell me about Perfecto." " It is... was, the single worst school ever. Why?" " So you realize that it is no longer standing?" Vicky nodded yes. " Why?" " Don't give me that innocent act, like you know nothing. I know everything, and needless to say I am very upset. You already left the one place that could assure you a place in high society, but did you really have to knock the place down? I think not." Vicky's eyes rolled. She didn't really care about what King had to say. " Pay attention! This is serious!" " Why do you care so much about that place anyway? It was just a school." King paused for a moment, contemplating telling her exactly what was going on, but he used his better judgment and said nothing. " You destroyed the opportunity for many of the upper - class and therefore better young men and women in this place to move up in the world. I realize you feel no remorse for this; you told me a long time ago how much you hated them all, but your actions were truly reprehensible. I suggested to all of the parents at a recent party I threw that the kids from Perfecto switch to Acme Looniversity until a real school could be found." Vicky became angrier with King as he spoke every word. She wanted to scream and trash his office, but she couldn't. She sat silently, glaring at King as he continued speaking to her. " You will never speak a word about what you did to that school. Do you understand me? It would be in your best interest to follow my instructions. I have already had some specialists of mine alter the wreckage so the whole thing looks like an accident, and that your borderline psychotic behavior just looks like coincidence, and it had better stay that way!" Vicky said nothing. She simply stood up and began to walk out. As she stepped through the door, King said one more thing to her. " Tomorrow night we are holding a gala affair here at the estate. You will attend, and you will finally behave like the lady we have tried so hard to turn you into. The service staff here will provide you with adequate clothing, since it appears you have picked up the fashion sense of the middle - class morons you choose to call friends, when they should really be your servants." Vicky was becoming more than just a little tired of hearing King trash her friends. Buster, Babs, Shirley, Fifi, Hamton, and even Plucky were much higher in her books than King was. The only friend of hers that King even remotely tolerated was Eddie, and that was only because of his rich family. Vicky ran up to her room and slammed the door. The slam was so forceful that it sent the chandelier tumbling to the ground, shattering it into millions of tiny pieces. She opened the closet and saw the four boxes she had loaded into the truck herself. She knew perfectly well what was inside. She opened them one by one, and saw an array of dark clothes, anvils, mallets, gothic makeup and jewelry. King didn't know she still owned all of her dark attire, or he would have destroyed it. When she looked upon these items, it finally came to her. The time for her to prove she was still herself was now. She ran to the phone and called up Calamity Coyote, who was still at the lab even though it was after midnight now. " There it is," Vicky said, looking upon the machine that had altered her personality once before. The same machine Fowlmouth had used to kick his habit of using too many profanities. Over the phone she had told Calamity to set it to change her back into the person she was before. Calamity forced her to sign a waiver before sitting in the machine, and she consented. The machine started with a whir. The arms moved almost instantly. All that anybody from outside could see was the small point of light shining through a window at the side of Calamity's lab, but inside something more significant was going on. Vicky stood up from the large machine about an hour after the process had started. She stood and smirked, the old gleam back in her eyes, a gleam that had vacated a month ago. She slipped Calamity a roll of bills, which she had "borrowed" from King before leaving, and then walked out of the lab. She sped off on her motorcycle in the frigid night air and thought to herself what an interesting little event the party at the mansion tomorrow night was going to be. " Be at the mansion at nine o'clock tomorrow night for a party that the snobs of Acme will never forget. Prepare to at least try and blend in," Buster read out loud. This was an invitation that had been dropped by his home sometime last night, and he was far from the only one. Babs, Shirley, Hamton, Fifi, Eddie and Plucky had all received the same invitation. Everybody else had prepared to show up without hesitation, but Eddie was not entirely sure. " You actually want us there? We see enough of those jerks during the week, why would we go and see them now?" Eddie asked. " Trust me, you'll like this. Besides, your parents will be there. You could always actually talk to them. Derek and his family are on the guest list, and so are Roderick and Rubella, and all kinds of other Perfecto slime." Eddie knew he would end up going, even if for no other reason but as a favor to his long - time friend. He knew he would have to go home before it started to at least get some formal clothes and make seeing his former legal guardians a big less awkward at the party. It was nearly eight now. Every real Acme student that was attending met at Buster's place, except for Vicky who remained at home, preparing, and Eddie, who was at home getting ready.. The entire group was dressed like they were for the prom the year before. Buster, Plucky, and Hamton each wore tuxedos, and the three females had expensive dresses on. King's money was financing all of this. Buster and Babs had monocles with them, and were practicing the Vanderbunnies routine. " Can we get this show on the road? I could miss valuable hob - nobbing time!" Plucky complained. Hamton and Fifi both looked at each other in the expensive clothes they picked up. Fifi appeared stunning to Hamton in her red dress, new hair style, and a substantial amount of makeup. His eyes popped out for a second as he beheld her, and then he stood, frozen, looking at her. Shirley had agreed to go as Plucky's date for this event against her better judgment. Shirley had picked up a short, purple dress for the occasion. Her hair, too, had been changed for the event and was now very curly and no longer flowed down. Plucky reacted similarly to Hamton, only his eyes popped out for a second, he made dog - like howling sounds, and he drooled a little. Shirley threw a bucket of water over the duck's head. " Like, can we leave already?" Shirley asked. " Why, we most certainly can," Buster replied in his Vanderbunny voice. Meanwhile, three doors down from Vicky's mansion, Eddie was walking in the door for the first time in months. " Greetings," he shouted as he walked in. There was an echo, but that was the only sound he heard. No answer. His parents were probably upstairs. The place was just how he left it: high ceilings, hardwood floors, what seemed like thousands of gold light fixtures and an excessive number of windows. Eddie walked upstairs, yelling out to see if anybody would answer. On the fourth floor, two elderly - looking skunks heard a noise originating from one of the lower floors. The woman of these two upstairs walked over to the wall and pressed a red button. Within seconds, three security guards were dispatched. " How do you suppose an intruder got in here?" the man asked in a false British accent. " I have no idea," the woman replied in the same type of voice. " I mean, we have given the staff the night off so it can't be any of them." Eddie was promptly met downstairs by three men in police uniforms. This was the personal security staff of the household, and it had been so long since they had seen Eddie that they didn't recognize him. " Ah, another lovely welcome home," Eddie said to himself. The guards, with irate looks on their faces, inched towards him. " Hey, I live here! At least, I used to! Get lost!" The guards didn't listen, so Eddie tried one sure piece of evidence to prove he was in this family. " I live here, you worthless twits!" Eddie shouted in a fake British accent like his parents had just been speaking in. " Sorry, sir," the guards said simultaneously. They all then walked off. Eddie reached the top floor and saw his two parents standing near a large mirror. " Does this look right? It better. We can't be making a bad impression on the neighbors," Eddie's mother said, examining her outfit, her long tail, and her hair. Like Eddie, both of his parents had blue colored fur, although their hair was beginning to show signs of gray. " Greetings," Eddie shouted to them as he walked in the room. The two middle - aged skunks' eyes grew wide as they turned around and saw their teenage son standing in the doorway. " What are you doing here?" Eddie's mother asked, temporarily losing the accent. " Is there some problem with me being here? I'm going to the party at Vicky's house with you two, and I also need some clothes." The three made small talk for a while, but not much had changed with any of them. Eddie purposely avoided the subject of all that had happened with Vicky, including the Eve phase. Just as the three were about to conclude the first conversation between them in several months, the phone rang. Eddie picked it up before a butler could lay a hand on the receiver. " Wow, somebody around here answering the phone themselves. I'm impressed," Vicky said from the other end. " How'd you know I was here?" " Lucky guess. Anyway, you set to go?" " Absolutely, even if I have no idea why I'm going," Eddie replied. Vicky paused for a moment, and then continued speaking. " You don't know why you're going? No idea? Let me tell you why you're going, and why I'm going. At the end of our Perfecto stay, me and you knew how to deal with those stuck up, perceptibly perfect preppy punks. We stayed, scared them all, and then got out of there. Then, we get to Acme Looniversity, and we stay like that for a while. A couple of months go by, and we just stop. We make some friends, actually get attached to the place, grow soft, and that's fine for a while. Now, thanks to a certain power - hungry maniac, we have the same idiots we turned against before ruining our lives, only this time we have become so soft that we aren't doing a thing about it. That changes tonight. We aren't just going to be pushed around by those snobs! That includes King!" Eddie stood, stunned for a minute. And yet, every single thing she had said made sense to him. Eddie remembered back when the two first came to Acme Looniversity. He would show up once every two weeks, sleep during class, and was generally considered a failure by everybody. At least at Perfecto he could buy his way through school, and there was a time he had expected to just buy his way through life. His view was changed shortly after he arrived at Acme Looniversity, and for the first time he actually cared in the least about school and had a social life that wasn't forced on him by social status. The last thing he wanted was for Perfecto to come back into his life and take that away now. He realized then that in this case, it was necessary to be mean and destructive again, although this time there was a reason, and it was a means to an end. " What were you doing answering the phone? What if the person calling received the wrong idea and thought we didn't have butlers to answer our phone? Our image would be destroyed!" Eddie's mother exclaimed. Eddie didn't listen, and he walked to the room he hadn't entered in months in preparation for the gathering. Vicky placed down the bags containing a pile of items she just purchased for this occasion. After surveying what she bought one last time, she sat back on her bed and began to reflect on all that had happened. She wasn't the same person as when she arrived at Acme Looniversity, and she knew it. She wouldn't have it any other way. But, the old Eve Ill act had a purpose, too: control, and keeping the elitists away. She used to throw people through walls, threaten everybody, and pull cruel pranks on others. That was what everybody did at Perfecto, and she did a great deal of that to the Acme students when she first arrived. She looked at an old picture of herself, looking like the reject from kiss that Montana Max had described her as. She laughed at it, knowing full well what the snobs must have thought when they saw her in that ridiculous outfit. Still, it had a purpose, and it was looking more and more like the reasons had returned. After thinking all this over, Vicky pulled herself up from the bed and started getting ready for the social event the Blake household would be hosting that night. Classical music filled the air, and several butlers filled the room as the party began. The Cougarmoore family was one of the first to arrive. Derek admired the money and power that King and his family possessed, but he still had a passionate hatred for the daughter of the family. Nevertheless, he didn't mention any of this as he greeted King shortly after entering. Rubella and Roddy entered together, with their respective guardians noticeably absent. Those two had come to kiss up to King, who had always referred to the two as " favorite students ", although nobody could ever figure out why. The two rats began speaking to every single person in the room hoping to make some sort of business contacts. A few minutes later, the trio of skunks walked to the front door, with the two elder skunks fixing their clothes and hair up to the second they walked in the door, trying to look as impeccable as possible. The shook nervously as they greeted King at the center of the now crowded room. " Greetings Cloud, Enid," King said to them in his usual deep voice. The two were practically too nervous to answer. " And Edward, how are you?" Eddie had never been called Edward in his entire life. He didn't even think Eddie was another name for Edward. Eddie declined to reply and he walked off to the corner, standing alone, awaiting the arrival of anybody he knew and liked. " Why doesn't your son ever wish to speak, Mr. Lockskunk?" King asked. " He's... uhh... a little... shy..." Cloud replied, sweating buckets as he spoke. " It's a shame. He could fit in so well here if he had the desire to. He does seem to get along reasonably well. Perhaps one day, they could at least make a reasonable corporate merger." Eddie watched from the corner near the door, picking out all the Perfecto students that he used to know. The only Perfecto besides Derek's old friends that stood out in his mind was a green rabbit with a shaved top of his head. The guy's named escaped him, but he remembered how he and Derek used to always bicker over who was right. They argued over business, what wine to drink, what brand to smoke, and what girls to date. This student gave Derek an angry glance before heading off to mingle with Roddy, among others. "Like, Plucky, did you really have to wear a purple and yellow polka - dot bow tie with that tux?" Shirley asked as the group of six toons approached the mansion. " It was the only tie I had," Plucky said in his own defense. " Can you two be quiet? How do we plan to fit in with all these rich, upper - class people if we keep arguing like little kids?" Buster asked. He and Babs then fixed their monocles and prepared the Vanderbunny voices. Hamton was incredibly nervous at this moment, between trying to blend in with the rich and stuck up, and trying to think of what to say to Fifi. The plan was everybody was to appear as a couple, when in actuality only Buster and Babs were together. " Greetings, sirs, madams," a man in a tuxedo greeted the six at the door. " May I have your names, please?" " Mr. and Mrs. Vanderbunny," Buster said with a nasal voice. " Sir, I do not see your name on the guest list." Buster took the list, pulled out a pencil and was about to write his name on the guest list, but the door man quickly took the paper back. " Sir, if you are not on the list, you must leave, or I shall be forced to call security." Eddie looked over to the door and saw Buster and the attendant arguing. " Relax Geeves. He is with me," Eddie called to the door. " Sir, you did not mention any guests." " Don't question me, or you shall force me to get Victoria Blake, a considerably good friend of mine, and the daughter of the man who employs you. Do not force me to take these actions; grant my friends access." The door attendant reluctantly let the six in. Eddie now felt like rinsing his mouth out after talking like the other people there, but at least his friends got in. " I didn't know you spoke snob," Plucky commented. It looked like the entire former Perfecto Prep student body had come together in the Blake's mansion. From various points around the room, jokes about the poor could be heard. " Try to blend in. Go socialize," Eddie instructed. The three supposed couples walked off in different directions. Buster and Babs were unfortunate enough to meet up with Roddy and Rubella first. The two rats introduced themselves. " We are Mr. and Mrs. Vanderbunny. Charmed, I'm sure," Buster said. " So," Babs said. " How much are you two worth?" " Well," Roddy said," with the two million I've pulled in this week, probably..." Roddy whispered an astronomical figure in Babs' ear. Her jaw hit the ground, but she quickly recovered. She then told the figure to Buster, who had the same reaction before replying. " Ah, a middle class citizen," Buster commented. Roddy looked insulted. " What do you mean MIDDLE CLASS?" Roddy asked. " How much are you two worth?" " Darling, you couldn't count that high, so what would be the point in us telling you?" Babs asked. The two then walked off. Plucky and Shirley walked around the social event for a few moments before finding the Lockskunks, and they began chatting. " Oh... uh... hello..." Enid said. " I... don't believe we've met." " I am Pluck Doque," Plucky told them. " I own ten multi-national corporations, and eight TV stations." " If... don't think I'm trying to be rude but... if you are... so right, why... why are you wearing that tie?" Cloud asked. Plucky didn't looked amused, but he did regret wearing that particular piece of neckwear. " And... who... who is this?" Enid asked, looking at Shirley. " That's Shirl, my wife," Plucky lied. " Like, in your dreams maybe," Shirley said, pushing Plucky away. " Like, I totally feel sorry for him or some junk. He is such a total loser, I totally pitied him and agreed to show up at this party with him, or some junk," she whispered in Enid's ear. Derek and an unidentified companion now stood by the champagne bowl, and as they dished out the two - thousand dollar a bottle beverage, the green rabbit walked over and purposely bumped into Roderick. " Watch it," Derek said before looking at who it was. " Oh, it's you." " So, I can see you have done your usual bang - up job of dealing with a problem," he said. " You know what Field, you need to shut up. At least I am trying to get us all out of Acme Looniversity, or at least get those stupid poor kids to realize they are below us. So far, you haven't done a thing." Field laughed. " Well, Roddy and everybody else seems to think you know what you are doing. Now, I could have that school working the right way in two weeks, but everybody seems convinced you would be better for that job." Field grabbed a glass of champagne and then walked off. This sort of arguing had been going on between these for months. Anything they could disagree on they did, except for the attitude which they both shared. They both competed over the support of the influential students at Perfecto Prep, such as Roddy and Rubella. " That's... amazing," Cloud commented as he watched Shirley the Loon levitate. " And...and... all of the wealthy people are doing this now?" " Yeah," Plucky replied. Shirley would have answered, except she was now caught up in meditation. " We'll... have to try that..." Enid said, with clear anxiety streaming through her voice. The lady skunk stepped up on a nearby chair, and tried her best to meditate like Shirley. As soon as she tried to emulate Shirley, Enid fell to the ground with a loud thud. As Mrs. Lockskunk recovered from the short fall onto a hard wood floor, Plucky started tapping Shirley on the shoulder to remove her from her state. She didn't move after a few pushes, so Plucky ran over to the crystal, transparent champagne bowl, took a glass, came back and threw it in Shirley's face. Shirley fell about a foot to the ground, and the liquid messed up hr hair, but she was at least aware that he was talking to her. Hamton and Fifi hadn't talked to anyone yet, and that included each other. Hamton was still working on something to say, while Fifi awaited him saying something. Finally, Hamton came up with something to say to her, but just as he opened his mouth to break the silence, King began speaking, which caused a sudden hush to fall over the room. " Welcome all to my far from humble abode," King said to the room. " To commemorate this event, I would ask that you all please find a partner and share the first romantic event of this evening." The lights in the room suddenly dimmed. The music changed to something slow. The entire room took their various dates and prepared to dance. " Where's Vicky?" Babs asked as her and Buster took an open spot near where the sullen looking blue skunk was standing. " I don't know, but I hope she turns up soon. I am getting sick of waiting," Eddie replied. He saw just about everybody else in the room begin to dance, and this was the real reason he wished Vicky would suddenly appear in the room. He drifted off into a daydream, where Vicky walked down the long, winding staircase, with a beautiful dress on. She walked down the stairs, wrapped her arms around him and the two danced, kissed and had a wonderful time. This was, however, just a dream, and one that he quickly snapped out of. Hamton approached Fifi once again. Fifi anticipated him asking her to dance, and he was about to ask her when, suddenly, the lights shut off in the room. The music stopped. Everybody began to panic and wonder what was happening. " Save me!" a high pitched voice could be heard saying. " Like, totally stop hiding behind me," was the reply. King was practically hyperventilating with anger. He didn't say anything. He simply stood and waited for some sort of explanation. A few of the guests attempted to leave, but the doors were locked. " What is going on?!? Who is responsibly for this?!?" King shouted. He didn't really have to ask. He knew the answer. One small light turned on near the stairs. Eddie's face lit up, while the six other true Acme toons' faces looked relieved. They knew who it was also. " Uh oh," Derek thought to himself. " Here we go again," Field said. Vicky's mother's heart started to race. She was so afraid of being incredibly embarrassed by what was about to happen she nearly fainted. " Welcome all," a familiar voice said. The one light that was now on turned to Vicky standing at the end of the stairs. Except, she didn't look like she had for the past little while. Her hair was short and black. Her face had jewelry attached to it. Her face was painted white. and she had dark ring painted around her eyes. Her eyes were red. Her clothes were black. King was literally stunned. " What are you doing Vicky?" cried her mother. " Vicky?" she asked as if that wasn't her name. " My name's Eve." King shattered the glass he was holding with his hand. Vicky walked into the dark room. Nobody moved or said a word. Half of them were too afraid to open their mouths. Vicky snapped her fingers, and three anvils fell form the ceiling. One fell right on Rubella. The second fell just moments later, and it smashed the table with the refreshments, causing food to and champagne to fly all over the room Derek looked down and noticed he was standing on a big "X", so he stepped aside. The third and final anvil fell directly to the right of the "X", directly where Derek had just relocated himself to. He was flattened like a pancake, and Field couldn't help but break into laughter. A thunder clap came form outside and lit the room for a second. Eve was wearing an evil - looking smirk. She snapped her finger and the lights came on again, but the music did not resume. The Eve outfit still had the entire room frightened, except for Eddie, who walked up next to her. " I need a volunteer," Eve said. She pointed at Roddy, but he quickly shook his head no. " Did I say you have a choice?" Eve asked. Roddy stopped resisting, being all too familiar what would happen if he declined once again. " Hold this," Eve instructed him as she pulled out what appeared to be a stick of dynamite. " No way! I'm not holding dynamite!" Roddy protested. " Relax, that's not dynamite," Eve said as she threw him the short, red object. Roddy held it for a second before it exploded in his hand. Roddy's face was covered with soot, as were his clothes. " It's Acme dynamite." King's face grew angrier and angrier. Eve noticed that Derek's unidentified companion, who was next to the re-inflated Derek, was holding a drink. " Let me show ya how your date with Derek will end," Eve said. She snatched the drink out of the girl's hand, threw it in Derek's face, and then pulled out a mallet and hit Derek over the head with it, flattening him once again. Eddie chuckled as he watched this, while Buster, Babs, and Plucky had some flashbacks to when she first arrived at Acme Looniversity. Vicky continued to survey the room. She walked right past Field, but said nothing to him; anybody who argued with Derek that much couldn't be all bad. " And now as a final message to all of you for the evening," Eve announced. " All of your cars are currently being impounded." Suddenly, the whole room began to clamor for the door, only to once again realize they were locked. There was panic; many of the formerly calm people now pushing and shoving each other out of the way, trying to get out the door before the car they spent tens ( in some cases hundreds ) of thousands of dollars on was towed away. In the frantic rush for the door, Hamton and Fifi were both pushed out of the way and next to a broken table. " Sorry we couldn't dance," Hamton said. " Vous were going to ask moi?" Fifi replied. " Well... Buster told us to look like a couple... so, I kinda thought we had to..." Fifi knew that Hamton was just using that as an excuse. She knew him well enough to know how nervous he probably was. The two weren't actually alone, but everybody else was either consumed with getting out of there, or hiding from the quasi - riot going on around them. They wouldn't notice if Hamton and Fifi finally said what both had been dying to say since they broke up. Every time they had opened their mouths to apologize, to admit they were wrong, or even to say something more than just a simple," hello ", an interruption had managed to find its way to them. Unfortunately, this would be no different. Eddie was suddenly tossed through a nearby table, and landed between the two. " It's amazing what these people would do to protect their stuff," Eddie said of the rich people who just broke the windows to get to the cars that had already been taken away by a fleet of tow trucks. Seven of the eight from Acme Looniversity now stood in the center of a mostly cleared room, and it was a disaster. Lights had fallen, there were holes all over the floor, tables were split in half, the windows were shattered, and there was food everywhere. To add to this, Vicky, Eve, or whatever you would like to call her was now nowhere to be seen. Field and Derek were now the only two Perfectos left in the room. " Boy are you going to have fun for the next few months," Field said sarcastically. " Your ex is back in psycho mode, and she still hates your guts." " Why don't you just shut up?" Derek asked. The two were both about to start something when they heard approaching footsteps, and, assuming it was Eve back for more, they dashed out. To the amazement of all, she was back dressed as a normal person once again. Her hair was back to being long and brown, here eyes were blue again, and her clothes were normal. The facial accessories had disappeared, and the makeup was missing. " That was the quickest makeover in history," Babs said, looking at her. " It was simple really: all the jewelry was clip - on, the makeup was Halloween, and I used the electronic dresser that King installed in my room last year," Vicky explained. " That little demonstration was just to put the fear of me back into all of them." Plucky took off while the other's were chatting to explore the mansion, and it was more than he had dreamt of. It was the largest structure he had ever seen, and there seemed to be millions of rooms. His search around was guided by the maps that were now installed on the walls, and the elevators that had recently been put in. Plucky stopped for a second and thought about what he would do with these riches, which, of course, lead him to an idea. If he could get in good with Vicky, maybe he could get access to some of it. Plucky's self - guided trek around the mansion ended much like Buster and Babs' trip ended when they went looking around. The large door with the engravings on it. The only difference was Plucky saw the door just as it closed. He tried opening it, but that proved unsuccessful on the first attempt. Plucky grabbed hold of the door again, and was greeted with a massive electric shock, which singed his whole body. Meanwhile, Buster, Babs, Fifi, Hamton, and Shirley let themselves out. All of the guests had left, not to return, and the Perfecto students were all a combination of frightened and incensed. Vicky walked upstairs and sat in her room, awaiting a conversation with King. Just as she expected, King retreated to his private room, the one place in the mansion nobody had been in except for him. King would hide away in there, sometimes for days at a time, and then emerge. The wait this time for his return was only a couple of hours. There was a knock on Vicky's bedroom door. " We must discuss these events," King said. " Open the door." Vicky did nothing, so King kicked it in. " What is there to discuss?" Vicky asked. " For starters, your obliteration of the social room, which I know must spend countless dollars replacing. Second, the unimaginable humiliation you have caused not only yourself, but your mother and I. And finally, you have proven how mentally susceptible you are by following the influence of your poverty - line associates. Do you have anything to say on your own behalf?" " It was a blast." King was about to launch into another tedious lecture, but thankfully enough the phone rang and spared Vicky some of the irritation. " I realize these constant conversations are becoming tiresome," King said into a phone out in the hall. " I, too, am sick of having this identical discussion on the subject of the money that is rightfully owed to me. I realize you are still looking into the situation, but I can assure you that no new evidence that could get you and your associates out of paying me my twenty million dollars shall be discovered. As for the most recent claim, I have been informed that one of your adjusters shall be gracing my house with his presence tomorrow. The cause of this was a freak accident, nothing more. I shall elaborate tomorrow. Farewell." King now walked back into Vicky's room. " I can see with startling clarity that those Acme students have shaped your minds to think like the lower class. Those rabbits seem to be an especially negative influence on you. Therefore, in the future, I forbid you to see them." Vicky laughed. " You? Forbidding me? How exactly do you plan to stop me from seeing my friends?" King stared coldly. " You know I have my own methods of doing things. After all, you do once again claim residence within the walls of my mansion, do you not? Also, does anybody need to know about your involvement with the Perfecto Prep incident? I think not. If you do not want the authorities to catch wind of your deeds, please, keep away from the vermin you claim are friends of yours and abide by my rules and mine alone." King then slammed the door and walked out. King was greeted by his wife in the hall. " You should have seen this coming. She can't be controlled, and she just doesn't appreciate the value of several million dollars," she said. " My beloved Queen, it may take time and effort, but eventually she shall be coaxed onto the side of reason, and she shall see the lower - class as nothing more than beings to be stomped upon. But, for the moment, we can't have any more of these violent outbursts. I have ways of finding out if she had heeded my warnings to avoid the Acme Looniversity students, and if she hasn't then I will once again be forced to make a drastic undertaking to resolve the situation. And, be honest. That twenty million in insurance money means as much to you as it does to me. Victoria could potentially ruin everything, and all our plans would die along with the enormous check." Sunday passed without any other major events happening on the rich side of Acme Acres. The day was spent by most recovering from the night before, while work crews spent the entire day fixing the shattered room attached to King's mansion. This room added another million dollars to what the insurance company was already obligated to pay King. Vicky did not emerge from her room the entire day, and King spent most of Sunday behind the otherwise locked door. Monday morning began with more silence than had been experienced in the last two weeks at Acme Looniversity. The Perfectos had established a "smoking corner" around the back of Acme Looniversity, so everybody who used to attend the academy of higher snobbery was huddled in this corner, lighting up and subsequently coughing excessively. Inside, Vicky and Eddie sat, both drinking from coffee cups that were as tall as they were. It also looked like neither one had slept in days. The two had bags around their eyes, and it was very noticeable to Buster and Babs when they greeted the two in the cafeteria Monday morning. " What happened to you two?" Babs asked. " It looks like you haven't slept since the last hit Saturday Night Live movie." " I haven't slept since Saturday Night. I've been too angry, too anxious about how King is going to react after crashing his little soiree, and trying to figure out what exactly that man wants." " And what about you?" Buster asked Eddie. Eddie could barely pull his face off the table " ... too much on my mind... too tired to make complete sentence..." The two rabbits attempted to sit down next to them, but the seats were pulled away right before they made it down and both bunnies ended up on the floor. They looked up only in time to see somebody in a long, brown coat and a hat walking off. Eddie and Vicky didn't see them; neither one could pull their faces of the table due to fatigue. " Must have been another mature Perfecto joke," Babs said. Buster and Babs got up and left, leaving the other two to wake up on their own once again a few minutes later. Vicky stumbled into her first period class still half asleep. She was jolted awake when she noticed how the classroom was filled with butlers serving the Perfectos as the stuck up brats sat back in throne - like chairs. Meanwhile, all the Acme students seemed to be relegated to the back of the room, sitting on either broken chairs and desks or the floor. " What is going on in here?" Vicky asked. " It seems Yosemite Sam came to his senses with the aid of a few hundred dollar bills," Roddy replied. " We run this class now." Vicky could hardly believe it; the teachers had been bought. This was now just like Perfecto Prep. Buster and Babs weren't in this class, but every jerk from Perfecto seemed to be. Roddy and Rubella were sitting back on their diamond - studded throne, which happened to have Vicky's father's name imprinted on the back, a chandelier in the room, no teacher, and pre-purchased report cards. Half the gym now consisted of a hot tub, an Olympic - sized pool, and a group of people hired to spy on the other team's strategies. The other half of the athletic facility was the designated Acme side, which was an empty room with no equipment and several holes in the floor. The cafeteria was being divided during the morning. One side would offer gourmet items, full service, and champagne. The other offered Spam on an old bun, crowded tables, and one light bulb. It was clear in most rooms that the entire place had been divided, but not a word had been said about it. Some of the classrooms had yet to be split down the middle, and Vicky was in such a room right now. " I'm not sitting there!" Vicky protested as a man in a tuxedo attempted to seat her in one of the throne - like seats. She saw her name engraved at the top, and almost became physically ill. She took one step away, but had the chair pushed in front of her. She stepped to the side, and once again the chair was shoved in her way. The person who was pushing it could not bee seen , but with every step Vicky took the chair was moved to compensate. " How many times do I have to say I'm not sitting there?" Vicky asked the pest who had yet to reveal him or herself. When no answer came, Vicky stepped back for a second, darted forward and kicked the chair. This was not a wise decision, as the chair had been plated with gold and had diamonds lining it. Her foot throbbed with pain, but she still didn't sit down. As she hopped around on one foot, Vicky looked for anybody she knew in the room. This wasn't the same class as it was yesterday; some of the students had been changed. Babs, Buster, Fifi, Hamton, Shirley and Hamton were all noticeably absent. " Don't you love this new setup?" Derek asked. " It's like Perfecto Prep, if that place had been built in a slum." " These Acme losers are becoming annoying. I don't care how they change this place, it's still Acme. I can't stand hanging around with these cash - strapped morons much longer," Roddy commented. He then lit up a cigarette, as did most of the room. " I can understand why somebody like you would feel so uncomfortable here," Vicky said to Roddy. After all, the Acme kids have a sense of humor, bathe frequently and don't have a butler to serve them, brush their teeth and breathe for them." Roddy blew a cloud of smoke in her face. " Shut, Goth girl," Derek instructed. " Really. If it weren't for your multi - billion dollar Pop, you'd be out in the street begging for spare change like the rest of these morons," Roddy added. " So would you if your dad hadn't been handed a cushy job by my parents," Vicky said. She wished she hadn't; that reply had lowered her to their level, using money and power as leverage for an argument. " And you say you don't like being a snob. You're still just like the rest of us," Derek said between puffs. Vicky's eyes flashed red without the help of her contact lenses. Conveniently enough, she discovered a mallet lying behind the chair. With this four - foot tall wooden item in hand, she turned to Derek. " The last thing I am like is you," Vicky explained. " Especially since I have a normal face, and I am about to rearrange yours!" Vicky chased after him, and the snobbish cougar dashed down the hall, screaming for his life as an enraged for student ran after him, swinging a mallet. The chase turned down many empty halls. The two passed by multiple classrooms, with students from both sides of the tracks watching. " Is it just me," Buster began to Babs," or has this rivalry lost the wit and charm it once had?" " It's like we've all entered the twilight zone," Babs replied. " Or a messed - up Roadrunner cartoon." Derek suddenly slowed down. Vicky caught up. She swung the mallet, and an inch before it was going to make contact, a tone sounded and the P. A. system turned on. Vicky stopped the hammer in mid - air, hoping the message would be quick. " Greetings school," a deep voice said. " I trust you have all observed the modifications to the school. I believe that the student body can agree that the new arrangements have been created so the two conflicting groups can exist peacefully, and exist in conditions that best suit them. As some of you might notice, certain sacrifices had to be made so this concept would prove successful. However, I think that you all can agree, as me and your esteemed leader Bugs Bunny have, that this system will work until more permanent arrangements can be made." The Public Address system shut off, and Derek moved out of the way right before the mallet dropped. He continued running until a harry green foot stuck out of a classroom and tripped him. Derek fell on his face, and Vicky walked over and smashed him with a mallet. Derek was flattened, his teeth fell out, and Vicky started to walk back to class to continue fighting with Roddy. " I don't know about what you've done to this place, Doc," Bugs said, looking at King across a desk. " It had to be done. Part of the problem that you have been experiencing at this education facility is that the financially superior students cannot function in an inferior setting. The adjustments made over the weekend will help to separate that fine line between the rich and the poor, and stop the daily clashes that the eating facility here has been experiencing." King then snapped his fingers, and a man brought him a glass of wine. Bugs once again objected to this arrangement, and that was when King lost his temper a little. " Might I remind you that if I so choose, I can hold you partially responsible for the twenty million dollars currently owed to me in the matter of Perfecto Prep. It was a group of your students responsible. Secondly, must I remind you of the arrangement we have with this place? You will do what I say for the time being." The bell rang for the beginning of lunch, and the two financial classes entered the new designated eating areas. The former Perfectos, along with Montana Max who had purchased his way into the Perfecto end of the school, entered the upper - class end of the cafeteria, renamed the Chateau. The students had reservations, and were seated by door attendants. The regular students end of the cafeteria was a direct contrast compared to the Chateau. There were two tables left, and both had large cracks going down the wooden frames that held them. The food was terrible, especially when compared to the fillet mignon being served in the Chateau. There were no lights, the windows had been removed for some inexplicable reason, and it was freezing inside. Vicky and Eddie entered the " poor half " of the room. There, every real Acme student was standing around, trying to force down the terrible cuisine. " What's next? Teaching us in a cardboard box outside?" Buster asked rhetorically. " Great day, isn't it?" Plucky Duck said. The whole room paused and looked at him. " What? Why are you all so negative? Vicky, how are you? Squash any snobs? Spend any billions? Take over any countries? Here, let me get you lunch." The green duck handed Vicky a moldy sandwich, which she promptly tossed to the ground. " What are you doing?" Vicky asked as Plucky started dusting her off. " Vicky headed for the table that was in the best condition, and the whole table cleared out. She sat, thinking about how King would do anything to make the rich look richer. With her back turned to the rest of the room, she didn't notice a figure walking up behind her. She also didn't notice when the same figure tripped three times on the way over. This person took out a blindfold, threw it over Vicky's eyes and took her out of the room. By the time the cover was removed, she was in the Chateau. " Welcome, madam," a waiter greeted her. Vicky stood up and took a look around. Montana Max was in the middle of a conversation with Roderick. Derek was in the middle of a circle of friends, making jokes about the less - prosperous students. Field sat among a separate group, taking shots at Derek. " Look out, guys, or she's likely to blow up the room," Derek said, looking at her. Vicky's face became angry. " Don't make me shut you up," Vicky threatened. From across the room, two men in dark suits noticed the brewing conflict. They picked up the chair Derek was sitting on, and threw him out the door and into the hall. " The school kicking Derek out? Looks like somebody finally read the suggestion box," Vicky commented. " Had they not thrown him on his butt, I would've walked over and kicked it," Field said to his cronies. They all chuckled. Vicky couldn't help but overhear the comment. She walked over to Field's group and asked him to repeat it. " I was just being pleased with somebody finally kicking that obnoxious loser out on his butt," Field explained. " Finally, somebody in this room with an ounce of sense." Vicky took a closer look at the green rabbit for a moment. " You look so familiar. I think I should know you more than as just another Perfecto." Everything suddenly grew hazy; this was the unmistakable sign of an impending flashback. Field remembered being in the dark halls of Perfecto. Field stood with a girl on his arm, across the hall from Derek. " I'm telling you, getting a back stabber like Plucky on the inside is the surefire way to win the game," Derek said to Field. " Roddy agrees completely, and he bought the idea from me for five hundred bucks." Derek moved his arm around a female companion of his own: Vicky. " I still say setting mines on the field, or getting one of the star players arrested is a better way to go. I'd bet more people would go for my idea. Yours is so... predictable." The two girls just looked on as their respective boyfriends argued. They had both seen it before, with these two fighting over what to do. The main sign of victory as much as having an idea used was having the support of influential students, school administration, and the unidentified man they had all heard was calling the shots behind the principal of Perfecto. This pre - Acme Bowl argument was just on of a series of recent conflicts. The two returned to the present. Vicky actually smiled in the presence of a Perfecto student, remembering how he used to fight with her ex constantly. She also remembered Field's girlfriend in the flashback; it was the same girl that Derek had cheated on her with in the first place. " Would you like to see the photo album of Derek I have thrown various sharp objects into?" Vicky asked. Field laughed. The Acme students, most of all Eddie, were suddenly becoming concerned with the fact that she had been gone for a little while now. They had half - expected her to have knocked the door down or blown up the room by now. The last thing any of her friends could have expected was that Vicky was off making friends with a Perfecto kid. " Do you think they killed her or something?" Eddie asked. He was practically hysterical. " Calm down," Babs instructed him. " I'm sure she's fine. It's lunch, not a prison camp." " I'm sure they'd let you in there. I know you're trying to forget this, but your parents are millionaires," Buster reminded him. " I can't go in there by myself. Those people aren't exactly my biggest fans. But, I need to go see her." Buster suddenly had an idea. It was one that had been done before, but it was bound to work. He explained this idea to Eddie and Babs. " Food delivery," Buster said in a phony French accent, with Babs and Eddie sitting under a cloth that was made to look like a delivery cart. A doorman opened the room and let Buster, who was also wearing a fake mustache, walk in. Eddie and Babs had cut eye holes in the cloth and were looking around for Vicky. To the surprise of all three, they saw Vicky sitting and laughing with Field. " Now I KNOW we're in the twilight zone," Babs commented. There sat the two, alone in a corner, laughing like old friends. She was supposed to hate all these snobs for her experience at Perfecto. What was going on? Vicky looked over and recognized Buster despite the disguise. She also noticed the eyes pointing out from under the cloth. She started to walk over to them when a hunched over figure darted to the three first and shoved the cart through the door, into the hall and through a wall. There were imprints of Buster and the cart going through after they were shoved out. " I've had just about enough of this," Vicky said, noticing that somebody kept interfering with her communication with friends. Vicky looked around the room for whoever had done it, and noticed the figure still hunched over. This person tried to run away, but tripped on a table and fell face first into some caviar. " I think I know what happens next," Field thought to himself. Vicky walked over to the person with the face planted in the fish eggs. The whole room of people who knew all about what Vicky did when she was angry stood up and watched. Vicky pulled his face out of the food and took a good look at him. It was a short person wearing a dark mask and a light, knee - length jacket. He also had a wrinkled hat on his head. " Not again," the figure said. " That's right. And, there are more walls here," Vicky told this person as she lifted him up over her head, spun him for a second, and then threw him towards the wall. The walls smashed as the person flew threw them, leaving holes in the shape of the person's body in the solid walls. While this was going on, the recently removed Derek had been greeted in the hall by another pair of people in suits and brought to an office in the basement of Acme Looniversity. The two sat him down in a very cold basement in front of a desk. A light was turned on and there he saw the face of King sitting across from him. " Greetings, Mr. Cougarmoore. Do you even have the vaguest notion of why you are here?" King asked. " Not a clue. All I know is I made an innocent comment to your... lovely daughter, and the next thing I knew I was being tossed into the hall and then being escorted down here." Derek was shivering as he spoke. It felt like it was below zero in this office that he had never seen before. King didn't seem to be affected by the incredibly low temperature in the least. King smirked, snapped his fingers, and watched as his two henchmen left the room. He then leaned halfway across the desk and moved his face a few inches from Derek. " You should have the intelligence not to lie to me. After all, you place as much emphasis on money and power as any of the other juvenile millionaires in this facility do. You are also quite aware of what money and power can do, as well as what they entitle the holder to. I am fully aware of the past between you and my descendant. I am also quite aware that you had a great deal to do with her unfortunate transformation. I could easily place the blame on your inadequate shoulders, but I have chosen not to. However, by conversing in such a negative fashion with my daughter Victoria, you are perpetuating the problem I am currently dealing with. You will stop interfering with my plans or I shall be forced to deal with you." Derek put up no argument. Around Perfecto Prep, King had an almost legendary reputation as being the richest and most powerful person in the area. Derek had been very impressed with himself when he hooked up with King's daughter. King had fully supported the relationship between Derek Cougarmoore and his daughter Victoria, thinking of it more as a business transaction. A prolonged relationship between the two would have brought the two families closer on one level, and allowed for future transactions between the two incredibly rich families. " One last instruction to keep in mind the next time you are in the presence of my only heir," King said as Derek walked out of the small, frigid office. " You will not, under any circumstances, apologize to her, nor will you mention this conversation to her. You are fully aware of her thoughts on apologies, and the fact that I am using my considerable influence to guide her life is none of her concern." Derek walked up the stairs that had a thin layer of ice covering them and began an ascent back to the normal floor of the school. Halfway up the stairs, Derek slipped on the ice and tumbled back down to the floor. King chuckled, and kept watching as Derek struggled to make his way back up the stairs. Seconds after Derek walked out the door to King's Acme office, the person who had been following Vicky around came falling down the stairs and landed right in front of King. " One is sliding as he ascends, the other is sliding as he descends on the stairs. What are minions coming to, anyway?" King asked himself. " Welcome to my office. If you find it the slightest bit chilly in here, learn to cope. Now, what can you tell me regarding your progress?" " Bad news. She keeps going near the Acme kids," the cloaked figure explained in a muffled voice. " That is unfortunate. If I have any hope of collecting the financial compensation for the loss of my school, Victoria must be kept under control. That requires her avoiding the influence that lead her to participating in such actions in the first place. What do you suppose the insurance company would do if they were to discover that my own daughter was responsible for destroying the very school I am attempting to collect on the loss of? And, before you answer, that is a rhetorical question. The only advantage that Victoria's associating with the lower - class provides is that when the two sides unite, they truly irritate the rich. These rich children and the families in which they are part are desperate to get out of this sanctuary for the homeless, and because of that they will all be willing to pay any amount I happen to charge upon the construction of the new upper - class facility." " I realize that, sir," the person said. " I know I messed this all up last time, but I promise to actually do my job correctly this time." " It would certainly be in your best interests not to fail. You failed to keep my daughter out of this decrepit institution in the first place. Now then Splendidspy, that will be all. You do know if you continue to fail, I shall be forced to take matters into my own hands." Lunch finally ended with the two schools heading to now separate sides of the building. The Acme classes were in almost - empty rooms, where the Perfecto classes had been renovated over the weekend. Buster and Babs were currently in a " Practical Jokes 101 ". Bugs stood in front of the room and spoke to a disgruntled - looking group of students. " Now, class, I know this class seems to be missing a few items," Bugs said. The room was empty of all things with the exception of a few desks. Bugs knew that King had purposely stripped the classes of almost everything, but he couldn't really explain why. " Gee, I hadn't noticed anything was gone," Plucky thought out loud. Bugs took a look around. The school Warner Bros. had placed him in charge of seemed to be falling apart. A group of new students that had absolutely no interest in being cartoon stars or anything like that was placed in the school by an old acquaintance of Bugs'. This was about all he could take. He stormed out of the room with his face a deep shade of red. The whole class stood up and watched as Bugs stormed out. They then heard his footsteps as he quickly walked away from the room. " How many people vote to follow him?" Vicky asked the class. Buster, Babs, Eddie, Hamton, and Fifi placed their hands in the air. Vicky walked very quickly out the door with five students following behind. Bugs thought he heard something following him, but the second he turned around all six students managed to locate a hiding spot. Bugs walked a few more feet, once again turned around, and once again, the six students found themselves ducking behind garbage cans, in lockers, or into classrooms. This trailing Bugs continued until they reached the stairs down to the basement. " Welcome, Mr. Bunny," King said before Bugs even reached the first stair. Bugs looked to his right and noticed a sign that said," WARNING: You are about to fall." Bugs neglected to heed this warning, and subsequently fell down the icy stairs like all those before him. As Bugs took the spill down the stairs, the six toons who had followed him there knelt near the top of the stairs and listened in as the two talked. The actual conversation began after Bugs pulled himself up from the ground and sat down across a desk from King. " So Doc... how 're you liking the arrangements so far?" Bugs asked. " Quaint. But, on the other hand, so is the rest of this place," King replied. " I can't even begin to conceive of any possible reason why I requested a work area in this school. It probably would have been more advisable for me to simply place a set of security cameras all over the place. I guess it's too late to incorporate that plan now, isn't it? Anyway, what it that I can do for you, Mr. Bunny?" " Dis place is falling apart, and you've got a lot to do with that," Bugs said. " I didn't complain when you brought dose kids in here, even though I knew the history between Acme Loo and Perfecto Prep. I didn't complain when you decided to separate the two schools in da building; in fact, I was kind of relieved when you did. But, everything has been removed from the classrooms, da rich kids are getting much better treatment, and da kids won't stand for it much longer." " Bugs, let us put things into perspective here. There is a fine line between the rich and the poor. I have managed to widen it within this building. The separation and subsequent removal of class supplies was necessary for creating this separation. The total stripping down of the basic necessities of the class can be considered symbolism. The Perfecto students came up knowing that they will always have the best. Suddenly, they come here and are accepting much lower than the best. What I have done is instill once again the sense of pride and superiority that they have become accustomed to." " And uh, what exactly makes dem so much better than da rest of da kids?" Bugs asked. King didn't reply verbally. He handed Bugs a small piece of paper from across the desk; it was a bank statement. " That, my friend, is what places the Perfecto Prep students at the next level. The presence of these children in your school may distribute a few superior personality traits to your Acme children, and it reminds a certain adolescent girl of everything she needs to be aware of." " How much longer is dis going to be going on?" Bugs asked. " As soon as Acme Insurance has concluded the investigation of the destruction of Perfecto Prep, they will hand over my twenty million dollars and the construction of the new academy of higher bank accounts can be constructed." Four of the six toons sitting at the top of the stairs looked directly at Vicky. A sudden wave of guilt washed over her, right before she remembered that Babs, Fifi, and Shirley were there, too. She looked right back at Babs and Fifi. " Hey, you two were there, too. It's not my fault the preppies are there." Bugs argued a little more with King, but with one more gesture the argument died. " Read this," King instructed Bugs, handing over several attached sheets of paper. " This is the contract you agreed upon. It clearly states that you must abide by whatever demands I might have. If you wish to dispute this, I suggest you take it up with your employers at Warner Bros., because I am well within my rights under the terms of the deal I have with the WB. " Bugs got up to leave. " Ah, one more question. Why is it below freezing in here?" " I like cold. Slows down the aging process. Somebody of your considerable years must be able to appreciate that." That school day ended with an unsettling feeling. Nobody had a clue why Bugs couldn't stop King from taking control for the moment. The students met at Acme mall after the day was over to discuss the situation. " This is all insane! Buster, you've gotta talk to Bugs and try to find out what exactly is going on. I'll talk to King, but I doubt he will tell me thing one. He will probably retreat to his little private room at the back of the mansion and do whatever it is he does," Vicky said. " I don't know if Bugs will want to tell me, but I'll try anyway," Buster replied. " That's enough talk about the Perfecto situation for now," Plucky said. " Vicky, you're looking great." " Why do you keep saying that?!?" Vicky asked. " I'm sorry but..." That set it off. The two words that she hated the most in the English language, " I'm sorry", were just spoken to her. He lifted Plucky by his neck, pulled her foot back, and punted him across the mall. Plucky landed in a store that sold crystal dinner accessories, smashing the contents of the store to several million tiny pieces. " Like, I've totally been meaning to ask you something," Shirley asked. " Like, why do you go totally freaked out whenever somebody says they're sorry?" " Warning: flashback," Eddie said. The haze of a flashback filled the air once again. Vicky remembered a time when she was much younger. Five or six at the oldest. She overheard King on the phone with several people, constantly screaming how little he cared if they were sorry, and that only results mattered in the least. From that time she had been associating apologies with failure and anger. " Now that Plucky should be gone for a little while," Eddie started. " What exactly do we plan to do about the Perfectos ruining the school? There isn't anywhere to transfer to." " Who knows? Vicky, you seem to have an affect on them when nobody else does," Buster said. " That's because it's almost like we aren't even their rivals anymore. We're their inferiors. That's how they think of the Acme students. Thanks to King, they get to come in and walk all over us. " " Maybe we can do something about it," Buster thought. " I'll explain later." None of the teenagers noticed that, lurking behind a plastic bush near them was Splendidspy, who still had instructions on keeping Vicky away from the others, except Eddie. Still dressed in a mask and long coat, he walked over to the table and looked at all of them. " Phone call for Miss Vicky," Splendidspy said in his muffled tone. Vicky raised an eyebrow, recognizing the designated stalker that King so often employed. Still, she decided to go anyway. As Splendidspy lead her to this supposed telephone call, Vicky took a long look around the shopping center of Acme Acres. It was the middle of December, and the signs of the season were beginning to show. There were holiday decorations strewn all over the place. Lights, trees, fake snow. The usual holiday fare. " Here we go," Splendidspy told her, point to a phone both. Vicky had seen this trick before, and didn't fall for it. " After you," she said as she shoved him into the phone booth, which closed and locked the second he was inside. " Don't try the same tricks twice." Vicky returned to the table and sat down with her friends once again. She noticed after sitting down that nobody was saying anything. They thought finally Hamton and Fifi would get the chance to say something to each other without interruption. " Fifi, I'm... I'm..." Hamton began. The entire mall was suddenly hanging on his words. Spectators completely unfamiliar with the two were watching with silence and great attention. " I am..." " Coming through! Watch it!" Splendidspy shouted as he hopped around inside of a phone booth. The moment for Hamton and Fifi was once again shot down. He hopped through with almost no control, running into people, displays, and decorated trees that happened to be set up. " What great timing this jerk has," Vicky thought. Plucky had just finished putting together all that he smashed upon landing. Just as he placed the last piece of glued crystal back on the shelf, Splendidspy hopped through the store, still in the phone booth, and once again smashed everything. Plucky sighed very loudly and just gave up. He ran out of the store before the owner could once again blame him. Hours later, Vicky stepped back through the doors of the mansion, out of the now pitch - black darkness outside. Seconds before she had stepped inside, a snow fall had begun outside. It seemed to fit the new atmosphere at Acme Looniversity perfectly. Upon walking in, she noticed her mother checking through a catalogue, and King was nowhere to be seen upon first inspection. " Where is King?" Vicky asked in an annoyed voice, thinking she already knew the answer. " Silence. I am trying to order something," was her mother's only reply. Vicky knew right away that her father was sitting behind the locked door, and surely enough she was right. Even at this very moment, King was sitting in a room behind the sealed door, having yet another talk with the insurance agency. " Listen to me Mr. Blake, we still have to interview the students that were there that night. All we have determined so far is the cause of the collapse. We need to find somebody to sue to go along with a simple payment for this financial tragedy of yours." " There will be no law suit! I don't care about any financial gain from this with the obvious exception of the twenty million already owed to me. Attempt to make this a expeditious process. That money becomes more and more necessary by the day. Yes, I do realize I have the money for the new institute of superior bank accounts at this very moment, but my personal tax situation will be greatly improved if I build the school with the insurance money. Either you and your associates hand over my money soon, or I shall be forced to take matters into my own hands." King then hung up the phone and sat down behind an old wooden desk. This room, too, was incredibly cold. King could see his own breath when he exhaled. It was not very well lit inside, either. One solitary light shone above him as he leaned back and opened up a file. His face became more and more worried as he flipped through it. It was Vicky's behavioral records from her last couple of months in Perfecto Prep, and her first few months at Acme Looniversity. The records included massive destruction, physical attacks, and verbal abuse to the teaching staff at both places. King knew fully that if the insurance company ever got their hands on this piece of information, that would end any hope he had of collection on his daughter's actions during a fit of rage on her behalf. He took the file, walked across the room, and threw it in a shredder located in this room. The file was cut into fifty pieces, taking all the written evidence of his daughter's involvement to the trash with it. The next step would be buying the silence of the students. An hour or so later, King emerged from his personal, secluded area of his home and emerged just as he hung up his cellular phone. His wife was there to greet him. " My Queen, the Lockskunks have decided to grace themselves by entering our presence. We both need to have a discussion with them. Remember, those two are very susceptible to suggestion, and they are so insecure that they will believe anything we tell them. We must use that to our advantage." Vicky sat alone in her room, thinking, until the doorbell, which played a piece of Mozart music, sounded. She had not been informed there was going to be company, so she prepared an anvil just in case it happened to be somebody that she did not particularly care for at the door. With an Acme anvil hidden behind her back, Vicky stepped into the elevator and was promptly transported to the first floor. " Have a nice day," a computer - generated voice said as she stepped out of the lift. Vicky saw the door being opened, and to her great relief it was Eddie and his parents stepping in through the ten - foot doors and onto the red carpet within. " Now what do I do with this anvil?" she thought. Just as she finished thinking that, King entered the room with a forced smile upon his face. Vicky was surprised that his face didn't crack when his mouth turned up. Vicky stepped over next to her very tall parent. " Hold this," she instructed, handing King the anvil. King caught the anvil, and the weight pulled him down through the floor and crashing into the basement. King didn't even make a sound as he fell, making the only audible noise the crashing of the floor and anything below in the basement. " I can see the original family feud is still going on," Eddie commented as he peered over into the hole in the floor. " What can I say? We put the fun is dysfunctional." King returned to greeting his guests after heading upstairs, changing into an identical navy blue suit, and having somebody repair the floor. " Welcome to my palace, Mr. and Mrs. Lockskunk. I trust you will enjoy the evening, or there will be consequences to those responsible for making it less than pleasant." He looked directly at his daughter as he said that. Vicky showed a clearly fake and sarcastic smile back at him. The six people sat down at a table that was longer than most of the houses in Acme Acres. Butlers inside were acting as waiters, handing all six of them wine glasses, an appetizer, and thirty - five different forks in which to eat dinner with when it arrived. The dishes were made out of silver, and the tablecloth of silk. Enid and Cloud were shaking madly with anxiety. Neither one had a club about what to say in this situation; they had never been the only family over for dinner at this house before. Eddie sat with his head propped up by his arm on the table. He had never looked or felt so bored since he left Perfecto. Vicky's expression was similar. Normally, those two could entertain each other except King had specifically instructed that those two were not to sit next to each other. The main course was lobster and caviar. Vicky and Eddie both despised caviar. The Lockskunk parents were not the biggest fans of it either, but they usually forced it down to appear like they had good taste in the area of fine cuisine. The two elder skunks sat for ten minutes, attempting to figure out which fork to use for what. They looked over to see what King was eating with, but neither one could tell which utensil it was since they sat so far away. The meal passed with almost no words spoken. Enid and Cloud were afraid to open their mouths because they thought they would say the wrong thing. King had nothing to say in the open to either one of them, as usual. He didn't really care to associate with millionaires who had not earned or inherited the fortune they possessed. Finally, the silence ended when the meal was over. " Enid, Cloud, would you please join me in the living room? I have a certain private matter I wish to discuss with the two of you." Enid and Cloud both got up and followed directly behind King. The two skunks were watching King's legs as they walked, trying to emulate his steps exactly to ensure they were walking the correct way a rich person was supposed to walk. Since he wasn't paying any attention to anything but walking correctly, Cloud ran right into a table along the hall, falling to the ground in pain for a moment before pulling himself up and continuing the trek. " Please, have a seat," King instructed the two. " You mean like... keep your chair or something?" Cloud asked. " Just sit down." King sat well across the room from his two guests. King stared at both of them directly in the eye from his leather chair and sat silently for a moment. Back in the dining room, Vicky and Eddie were the only ones left. Neither one wanted to bring up the Perfecto student subject once again, and both thought desperately for a new topic of conversation. " Why do your parents always shake like that, and look so nervous whenever they come over here?" Vicky asked. " Was it something I did?" " I'll be honest with you. They are scared to death of not acting like proper millionaires. They aren't the type of people who belong in high society. Our family won our millions on a crooked game show in the eighties, and we have never really known what to do with it. They protect it with their lives and try to fit in with the other rich people. I ignore it. I don't think either works very well." " I have no idea how we got all our money. I know King owns hundreds of companies and stuff like that now, but where did it all come from? Whenever I ask, King always tells me," every good fortune has it's little secrets" and then he retreats into his stupid little locked area." King had just finished offering the Lockskunks a drink, and then he got to the real purpose of his summoning them to his domain. " I have called you two over here for more than just a social sojourn," King began. " We need to discuss a matter involving our children." " I never had any children with you," Enid said. King groaned, realizing that the anxiety must be contributing to stupidity. " Can I offer you two anything? Coffee? Tea? A diazepam pill, perhaps?" " We're fine," Enid told him. " We are?" Cloud asked. " Maybe we should take that pill he's offering us. It could be considered rude if we didn't." " It might be a test," Enid pointed out. " Please, give me a minute or two of silence so that I may converse with you two about the topic I have brought you here to discuss. Victoria and Edward have been confidants for quite some time now. Over that time, one seems to have developed an increasingly negative influence on the other. Victoria's violent and unconscionable actions have influenced Edward, who has subsequently promoted the associating with those who are below us. I believe that, for these children to turn out as the affluent heirs we all want them to be, a period of separation between the two may be in order. I believe that, once separated, both can realize what is truly important and focus on that issue rather than the relationship they seem to have developed. In simple terms, it is time to keep Edward and Victoria apart. I am currently dealing with Victoria. What will you do about Edward?" Enid and Cloud thought for a moment. Eddie's only long - time friend to this point had been Vicky, but if King thought it was a good idea to keep them apart, it had to be. Eventually, the Lockskunks agreed to keep Eddie away from her, and they promised to deal with the matter personally. Vicky and Eddie, for the first time ever it seemed, found that they had nothing at all to talk about. There they were, sitting in the dining room alone together, without a word to say. Vicky was becoming a little anxious herself, thinking that Eddie might bring up the awkward moment when she rejected him before. Eddie wasn't going to drag that one up again; she knew how he felt and the feelings were not reciprocal. " We're leaving," Enid said as she walked back into the dining room. Before Eddie could request any sort of an explanation, Enid took him by the arm and dragged him out of there. Vicky was very confused by the sudden rushing out of the mansion performed by the Lockskunk family, and she quickly suspected that King had something to do with it. " What is going on?" Vicky shouted as soon as she saw King. " Quite simply, the Lockskunks do not want you associating with their son. They claim your violent influence is corrupting their son, and they need to stop it before it is too late." " Did you have anything to do with this?" Vicky asked. " That is none of your concern. I suggest you begin communicating with authentic Perfecto Prep students, not the poor and not the odds - beating fools." Vicky couldn't believe what King was doing. She thought now more than ever that King was intent on ruining her life, or even worse, molding her in his own snobby, cold image. She stormed into her room, shouting," I can't believe he's doing this!!!" The night progressed along without Vicky emerging from her room. She was now hoping whatever Buster might have in mind, it was a good idea that would really bother King. Meanwhile, around eleven that night, King stood on the top floor or the majestic building he called home. Specifically, he was standing outside on a balcony in the freezing cold. The snow was continuing to fall all around him, and a very thin layer had already accumulated. King looked out into a blank sky, thinking aloud about everything. Despite the freezing cold, King wasn't shivering and the only extra layer of clothing he wore was a red robe. " Separation had better prove to be the ultimate remedy for the situation. I would hate to have to take more drastic measures. She doesn't seem to understand her place in society. She could cost me everything. The new school. My freedom. My legacy. Everything." Just as he finished that thought, the door leading to the balcony opened and his wife emerged. " King, come inside. You're going to catch a cold." " This cold is phenomenal. Why shouldn't I take a few moments out of my stressful and hectic life to savor it? Besides, since when do you possess the least bit of concern for my state of health?" His wife walked up next to him. " Unlike our daughter, I don't hate you." She tried placing her arm around him, but King quickly knocked it aside. " Listen, I know you want that money more than anything. If you don't get it, just use some of your spare change and build the new Perfecto." " You simply cannot comprehend the meaning of anything, I see. There is not a person or toon alive that I will let take something of mine and not suffer any consequences. Victoria is fortunate: her only consequence is being placed back on the right track. I refuse to give up money of my own that is rightfully owed to me to construct a new facility." King didn't say anything else. He just stood in the bitter cold and thought about what he was going to do next. He knew that Spelndidspy was going to continually fail, and when that happened he would finally have to take control of everything. He also knew that Buster, Babs, and the rest were bound to stand in his way one way or another. To anybody else, King would have looked insane standing in the cold for literally hours as snow piled on the ground around him. For him, this was his time to contemplate. Nobody ever accused King of being a normal man. Vicky had always assumed that the money had gone to his brain. The next day at school may have been considered even worse than the day before. In the morning, there was a tryout for the girls basketball team. Naturally, Rubella was trying out along with a horde of other Perfecto girls. Among the Acne girls participating in try - outs, Babs, Shirley, and Fifi were present. Vicky had stated an intention to show up, but so far she wasn't there. The session began with the students being instructed to run laps around the gym ( this portion of the try - out was being held in the Acme half of the gym ). Rubella stopped after only a few minutes, gasping for air, realizing that years of smoking was actually taking a toll on her. She eventually regained her breath and kept running. In the middle of lap running, Babs and Rubella found themselves parallel. The two stared directly at each other, and both tried to run faster. The two remained aligned. They kept watching each other as they ran, until both ran straight forward a little too long and both hit a wall. Margaret, Derek's girlfriend, was also present. She saw Shirley the Loon approaching from just behind her, so she threw a banana peel directly behind her, knocking Shirley down. Shirley, very angry now, pulled herself up and chased down Margaret. Shirley stopped right next to her, and her aura quickly took over. This red shadow - like version of Shirley tripped Margaret. After the peel - thrower got up off the ground and started running again, the aura once again knocked her down. This continued throughout the laps. Seeing what was happening with the rest of the girls in the gym right now, Fifi decided to protect herself. He left a faint circle of skunk odor surrounding her body so that no Perfecto would get anywhere near her. On the way, she caused a few Perfectos to pass out. In the Perfecto gym, the male students were having a similar event. Like the girls' try - outs for basketball, the guys' side was full of Acme and Perfecto students alike. Roderick, Derek, and Field were among the Perfectos there. " Why are you even trying rabbit? There's no way a loser like you can make the team with us trying out," Roddy said to Buster. " He'll make it," Field argued. " By default. Derek over here is such a loser that there is now way he could make the team. That leaves one spot open for some Acme loser to make the team. He can warm the bench or something." Buster didn't pay any attention to them. Plucky, Buster, Eddie, and Hamton all represented Acme among the hopefuls to make the team. They, too, were instructed by Foghorn Leghorn to commence lap running. naturally, Buster got off like a shot when told to run, as did his fellow rabbit, Field. Those two were dashing and appearing to the naked eye like blue and green streaks around the gym. Plucky became lazy after a few minutes of running, so he began to fly with little height over the ground. Hamton was by far the slowest, and he was gasping for air after a little less than five laps. " Hey loser! Slowing down already?" Derek called over to Eddie. The blue skunk ignored him. The two were rounding a corner and going past the edge of the hot tub King had installed. " I think you need a bath," Eddie said as he reached over, grabbed Derek by the neck and threw him into the hot tub. Derek shot out of the tub within seconds with a trail of smoke following below him; somebody had really turned up the heat on the tub. Hamton was beginning to cramp, so he stopped. Foghorn Leghorn noticed how Plucky was winging it, and he quickly removed him from the running. Buster and Field never tired once. Both practices continued. The girls and guys reached shooting practice simultaneously. Shirley the Loon did especially well in this area, as she would simply levitate the basketball to the hoop and through the net. Everybody on both sides simply stood in a line, waited for a second and took the shot. On the guys' side, Roderick had just finished missing his third shot in a row. " This stupid ball!" Roddy shouted. He walked over and kicked the ball clear across the room. " This stupid shooting practice is fixed! I'm calling my lawyer!" " Are Roddy and Monty, like, twins separated at birth?" Eddie asked. " I'd wonder the same thing if they were the same species," Buster told him. The practices continued with the Perfectos insulting the talent of the Acmes time and time again. It was quite clear that, even if by name it was a team, this year's Acme Looniversity b'ball squad was going to use anything but teamwork. The final stage of the tryout was a scrimmage. Intelligently, the coaches on both sides decided to divide them into Perfecto and Acme sides for this stage. " Pass it!" Shouted Plucky. Buster lobbed him the ball. " I'll give you twenty bucks for the ball," Roderick, who was guarding the greedy green duck, said. Plucky threw the ball right to Roddy, and, without handing over any type of money, Roddy ran the other direction. " Sucker!" Roddy called. Roddy then threw the ball over to Derek, who was being guarded by Eddie. Eddie gave him a large whiff of skunk scent, and Derek turned green and nearly passed out. Eddie then placed the ball on the end of his tail, swung it forward and launched the ball across the length of the gym and into the basket. The two sides continued playing in both gyms. Despite how many times Perfecto would cheat by knocking down a player, using some sort of explosive, or creating a hole in the floor for other players to fall into, Acme held a one point lead on the boys' side. There was one second left. Roddy threw up a shot right before the buzzer sounded. The shot looked to be on its way in. Even if they were all technically the same team, any time Roddy and company could beat Acme it was considered a big victory. The ball seemed to be moving in slow motion as it headed for the net. Suddenly, it looked as if it was going to go wide to the right. " Oh no you don't!" Roddy exclaimed. He pulled out a small, silver remote control with a red control stick point up from it. He began to move the control, which seized the ball and guided it towards the net. It was about to sink when, from seemingly out of nowhere, a small missile came from the ceiling, destroying the ball before it went in. " That's cheating!" Roddy cried. " You can't blow up the ball!" " You're not allowed to use a remote to control it either, but you did it," Buster pointed out. " That's different! I should be allowed to! This stupid school owes it to me after all I've been subjected to here!" " Look, I didn't have anything to do with that, and I'm sure nobody else here did, either," Buster said. " So then where did it come from?" Roddy asked, knowing that nobody could give a reasonable explanation. " Maybe psycho girl is still around here somewhere. Or, her lunatic father," Derek suggested. Eddie's eyes became full or rage. He began to breath heavier and heavier. After a few seconds, he charged Derek and hurdled himself into the cougar. The two were both pushed through the wall separating the two sides of the gym. They were now fighting on the girl's side. The wall began to collapse. Everybody ducked out of the way as pieces of it fell everywhere. " I've gotta hide," Hamton thought out loud as he searched for a location safe from the mountain of debris that was piling up. He ran frantically until he reached the begging of the girl's gym. Right next to where the wall used to be, Hamton ran into Fifi, once again throwing them both to the floor. Hamton started to say something, but a large piece of the wall landed directly on his head, knocking the helpless pig senseless. As the place fell apart, Eddie and Derek continued fighting, not noticing what was happening around them. " This is all your fault, you green idiot!" Derek shouted between swings taken at Eddie. Field ran over and started assisting Eddie in the pummeling of Derek " Wake up, mon ami!" Fifi was pleading to Hamton. " Look out below!" A female voice shouted from what sounded like the ceiling. Within seconds, Vicky, dressed in the Eve Ill costume, came down from the ceiling. The whole gym stopped clamoring, the debris stopped plummeting, and the entire place came to a dead stop when she entered. " Let's get a few things straight," Eve began. " One, Derek, I blew up that stupid basketball and I probably should have launched that thing at your head." Vicky walked over, now with a glass of water in her hand, to Hamton and Fifi. She threw the cold water in Hamton's face, which seemed to revive him. " I am a little tired of you two waiting around to make it official you're going out again. You both know the other is sorry, and I am quite tired of waiting for you two to kiss and make up. You know Eddie never liked you, Fifi, and so does he. Now kiss already!" Vicky took Hamton and Fifi both by the back of the head and she forced the two faces into each other. The two began kissing, and it was now assumed that the relationship was back on." Vicky walked over to the three who were fighting. " Be my guest," Eddie said to his old friend, pointing to Derek. Derek suddenly became filled with fright, and at the sight of Eve, he ran screaming out of the room. Eve laughed as he ran off. Every other Perfecto student quickly followed suit. The Acme students waited for the situation to calm down entirely before saying anything else. Plucky was the first to speak at the conclusion of the commotion. " It's nice that you scared all the rich brats off, but what's with the clothes being all weird again? Is this Eve act like some alter ego, super hero kind of thing for you?" the duck asked. " No Plucky, it's kind of like your brain. I only use it when necessary," Eve replied. She then reached around her back, and a zipper could be heard being undone. Within seconds, the Eve costume was on the floor and Vicky stood before them all in plain clothes once again. " I figure why go through all the hassle of makeup, temporary tattoos, wigs and all that other stuff when I could just buy " Acme Gothic Girl in a Can." " " The lunches, the classes, the kids. Everything. This went from being the greatest school on Earth to being a place for Perfectos to boost their egos and ruin our lives," Buster complained. " We aren't going to take it! It's about time we marched down to Bugs' office and tried to get something done about this!" All Acme students in the gym began to march in a straight line down the hall, and as those in classrooms saw this, they quickly joined in. Within five minutes, the entire Acme Looniversity student body that did not attend Perfecto was walking down the hall. Buster had donned a military helmet, and all those behind him in the march were now dressed in fatigues. " No more Perfecto! No more Perfecto!" the students shouted as they marched onwards towards the office. When they all were about to reach the door to Bugs' office, the principal stormed out with the Acme teachers behind him in a similar setup. " Ah, sorry kids, but we just can't teach here anymore. Not like dis. We're on strike until Kings takes da brat pack and gets out of this school," Bugs explained to his protege. " You're going to be instructed by da Perfecto Prep teachers." " We were coming to let you know we're on student strike," Buster replied. " No more Perfecto!" now two lines of toons were hollering as they marched outside. King couldn't help but notice all of the noise that was emanating from upstairs, even if he was secluded in the basement. Right away he figured Vicky was among the group members chanting the loudest. He also knew right away Splendidspy had failed him yet again. He was totally right. Splendidspy was off in the hot tub of the now - vacant gym, sipping at a martini. Every cast member who had ever appeared on Tiny Toons as a student at Acme Looniversity except Montana Max was now outside. Even Fowlmouth was sick to death of the Perfectos. " Stick it up your ***, you ****in' Perfecto *******!!!!" Fowlmouth shouted in front of the school. " Crude, but he gets the point across," Buster commented. The group continued to shout, and hold up signs to the same effect that they had somehow created in the last five minutes. As the sound became louder and louder, King knew he had to do something. A few minutes passed, and suddenly King was standing on the roof of the school looking down on all of them. " Your embarrassing noise is not going to remedy your current situation," King explained. " I realize you all wish that the Perfecto students would vacate the premises, and speaking on their behalf I can assure you the feeling is more than mutual. But, thanks to a certain four students here who shall remain nameless, there is no place for them to go for the time being. Thus, the Perfecto students needed to be instructed until such time as the new school is constructed, and this was the only place in the area that could fill such a need to even a marginal level. And, before you ask why Bugs has not removed us himself, I shall explain it to you. As part of the contract that Warner Bros. signed when purchasing the land for this place, I gain control of anything I need whenever I need it so that they may keep it at the low monthly installment I am currently charging them. I would explain more, but, quite simply, nobody can force me to." King then retreated down the same hidden exit he had entered through, and was once again gone from the sight of the disgruntled students. The Acme Looniversity protest still would not cease. The noise became louder, the doors became blocked and the students became angrier. Still nothing was happening. That is, until a Perfecto student emerged from inside Acme Looniversity. The group looked ready to tear Field apart as he walked out, but they waited to see what he wanted with attentive silence. " I can't stand those people anymore!" Field shouted. " Huh?" the whole crowd replied. " I may love a few million bucks as much as the next guy, but those people are insane! That jerk Derek is worse than ever!" " Come here," Vicky instructed him. She took him by the neck, and gave him a ten second long kiss. She then threw him to the ground. " That's for Derek - bashing." " Hey, I bash Derek all the time!" Eddie said. " Yeah, but if you didn't I wouldn't talk to you," Vicky told him. Eddie knew she was kidding, but it hurt anyway. Plucky ran up beside Vicky and asked," so, you like Derek bashing? I've got a few. How many Derek's does it take to screw in a light bulb? The answer: none, because no matter how many you get, they are all too stupid to screw in a light bulb anyway. Why did Derek cross the road? To get hit by a car. I've got a million of 'em!" " You'll have a million bruises if you don't get away from me right now," Vicky told him. Plucky walked away from her. The angry students were silenced again for a moment when half an hour later, a large truck pulled up with a statue on the back. This gigantic vehicle ran down the statue of Bugs, then turned around and knocked down the Daffy Duck statue which stood outside the school. Both statues crumbled into bits. They were replaced immediately by two replicas of the statues that once sat outside Perfecto Prep, with the motto," We Never Lose " engraved on them. The truck then drove off. " This is King's idea of a joke," Vicky told them all. " Me like statue," Dizzy said. The crowd turned and stared at him. Dizzy quickly spun into the whirling purple tornado he was frequently seen as, and he plowed through the two new statues. Within seconds, they were in pieces. " Me like statue, especially with ketchup." Three o'clock came and the Perfectos attempted to leave the school. This proved a futile effort. The Acme students pushed the door back. The Perfectos shoved harder. The Acme students pushed back. The doors were pushed back and forth for an hour and neither side gained any ground. " National guard, I need a small amount of assistance," King said into his cellular phone. He explained the situation. " Out of the way!" A voice from within a tank hollered at the group of gathered toons. The armored vehicle plowed through any student who stood in the way, flattening them into pancake - like forms. The hulking military vehicle knocked down the school doors, inadvertently pushing down several Perfecto students in the process. The tank then backed up down the stairs, squishing the same kids again, and then drove off. The Perfecto students rushed out as quickly as they could to get away from that building. "Victoria, you have truly stepped over the line this time," King said as he walked out of the school and into the now snowy area around Acme Acres. " I know all that you have been responsible for, and clearly you are a danger to yourself and those around you. I will not have you interfering with the lives of any others. There will be dire consequences when you get home." King then took her by the arm and tossed Vicky into the back of a limo, which quickly sped off with a loud squeak form the tires. Field started to walk home, and on this journey he noticed Roddy and Rubella directly in front of him. " That plan is working flawlessly so far," Field told them. " It better be. We need to get psycho girl to trust you just enough so she wouldn't suspect anything or do anything to you," Roddy replied. Field called a cab and was back at home as quickly as he had spoken to the two. Meanwhile, Vicky was still in the limo, thinking about what it might by that King had planned for her, and Field. She had never noticed him while she was at Perfecto, but anybody who hated Derek that much couldn't be all bad. She wanted to get to know him, and she was starting to think that maybe this could be the real boyfriend she had been looking for, and not just another jerk who happened to catch her interest for a short period of time. She also knew any thoughts like that were getting way ahead of herself, but she couldn't help it. The rest of her life seemed to be a disaster at the moment, and Field could at least be something positive in the absent of anything else worthwhile. " We're home," King said in a lower tone than usual. " I want you to understand that what is about to happen is for your own good." Vicky was now incredibly scared. She stepped out of the expensive car, looked at the front door, and noticed two men in white coats standing before her. " Is... this what I think it is?" Vicky asked. The two men ran up to her with nets in their hands. They threw the nets over her head, sprayed her with something. She passed out, and the two men threw the unconscious body in the back of the van they had waiting for them. They then both sat in the front, and drove off towards Acme Acres Mental Hospital.
