Bunny Trouble: Pt. 1 By: Yvette M. Griffith "In this story, Bugs is with Lola Bunny. Daffy Duck also has a girlfriend named Delilah Duck, copyright me. Please ask me through "DaPrincess1617@aol.com" if you want to use any of my new characters please. Thanks! This is like a 40% TTA Fanfic, and 60% Looney Tunes. But if you like the ratio, you'll like it. I had fun writing this, and hope you have fun reading it!" "It starts . . ." oops! A Disney line, sorry! (Anvil falls on Yvette) "I said sorry!" she mumbles. "On with the show!" It was the beginning of yet another school year at Acme Looniversity. There were some pretty advanced classes, now that most of the toons had grown quite a bit. The staff had changed a bit, as well. There were 2 new employees. One of the new employee was Lola Bunny, now Bugs' girlfriend. She usually wore black Adidas gym pants, and a white tank top. The second new employee was Delilah Duck, Daffy's girlfriend who was a homeroom teacher, as well as Bugs' secretary. Delilah Duck was reading announcements to her homeroom. "And the last announcement is, a Shakespearean play that's being done. It's Romeo and Juliet. Auditions are after school." said Delilah to the class. "You have to try out in pairs." she added. Plucky turned to Shirley. "I'm your Romeo, how about being my Juliet?" asked Plucky, raising his eyebrows, trying to woo her. Shirley nonchalantly lifted a finger, pointed it to him, and zapped him. "Or maybe not." said the crisp, smoking Plucky. The 2nd period bell rang, and everyone left the room. Delilah was writing something at the desk, when a young, deep red rabbit approached her. She was wearing a black dress, black headband, and belt for her mini-dress. Black was her favorite color. (Can ya tell?) "Pardon me, but is Lola in taday?" asked the rabbit in a Tennessee-country voice. "Yeah, she's teaching 3rd, 5th, 7th, and 9th period gym." replied Delilah. "Thank ya." said the rabbit, then she left the room. The rabbit made her way through the hallways, and passed by Buster and Babs. "Hey Renet!" they said in unison. "Hey y'all! Great time at the movies we had this weekend, hu?" said Renet. "Yeah, we should do it again sometime." said Buster. "Truly, but ah just gotta get mah caddy outta da shop. People always sayin that she ain't no good. But no one is turnin me away from mah baby. That car's been in the family for, years." said Renet. "Hope you get it out, in one piece." said Babs. "Me too. Well, I'll see y'all later." said Renet. "Okay, bye." said Buster and Babs. Then Renet walked off. "I don't get it." said Buster. "What?" asked Babs. "How can a totally city rabbit like Lola, be the cousin of Renet?" asked Buster. "Easy, with a family as big as Lola's, the city isn't big enough." said Babs. Buster frowned. "There was absolutely no comedy in that." he said flatly. "Okay then, how about, Lola's doing a great job of hiding a country accent." said Babs, putting a big grin on her face. "Never mind, stick with the first comment." said Buster. "Today must just not be my one of my comedic days." Babs shrugged. Then she and Buster just continued walking on. At the end of the day, as the students were at their lockers, Bugs spoke over the intercom. "Don't foiget students, the auditions for Romeo and Juliet are starting, in de auditorium. Don't pass up da chance ta be a star in dis year's big play." said Bugs. Elmyra had been staring up at the intercom as if it were a television. Then she frowned. "That's the worst television I've ever seen, no pictures!" she complained. But then stopped frowning as she saw Montana Max coming down the hallway. She ran over to him, and grabbed him in a bear-tight hug. "Let me go you little twit!" he hollered as he tried to push her away. "No way! You're gonna be my Romeo, and I'm gonna be your beautiful Juliet!" said Elmyra. Then she dragged Max, kicking and screaming, to the auditorium. Auditions in the auditorium were just beginning, and there were a plethora of people to try out. Buster was looking at the parts in the play. "What part are you trying out for, blue boy?" asked Babs as she approached him. "I'm thinking of trying out for Romeo. But I can't seem to find a Juliet." said Buster, looking slyly from the corner of his eye at Babs. Babs did a spin change into a long, Old English-type dress. "Romeo oh Romeo! Where farout thou Romeo?" Babs acted. Buster just smiled at her. Toons were auditioning all over the place, and the two directors were Daffy and Delilah Duck. They were both sitting in director's chairs, and wearing sunglasses, as if they were in Hollywood. Dizzy just auditioned for Juliet's dad. "Okay, thank you." said Daffy, sounding very unconvincing, and also a bit puzzled. "Don't call us, we'll call you." said Delilah. Dizzy stepped off stage with his ripped and slobbery script. Next came Plucky, and he walked up to Daffy and Delilah. "As fellow ducks, I know you'll make the right decision, and choose me for the part of Romeo. So that those scene-stealing rabbits don't get a chance again." said Plucky. "We've thought about that already, but Bugs put Lola to supervise us." said Delilah. Lola was standing nearby, watching with Renet. They both waved at Plucky with grins on their faces. Plucky made a displeased face, and walked to the center stage. "Do your best!" said Daffy. Needless to say, Plucky didn't do too well, and he didn't get the part. After many auditions, was Buster and Babs, auditioning as Romeo and Juliet. Daffy and Delilah looked pretty unhappy as they saw the bunnies do very well. Lola and Renet clapped in the distance. "Ah shuddup!" said both Daffy and Delilah. "You got the parts." said Daffy, while Delilah wrote something down. The bunnies looked utterly pleased with themselves. "Everyone auditioning for Romeo or Juliet, please exit the auditorium, we've found both." said Lola over a megaphone. Noticing the unhappy look on Daffy and Delilah's face, Lola decided to call off auditions for the rest of the day. "Okay, auditions will be held tomorrow after school for the remaining parts." said Lola over the megaphone. Daffy and Delilah left. Delilah sighed. "Hey, the ducks'll get better, someday." said Delilah as she patted Daffy on the back. "I guess so." said Daffy. "Come on, let's go have lunch." said Delilah, and so they went to a local diner. Lola and Renet went to Bugs's office. "I gotta go Lola, mah cabby is prolly here ta take me ta pick up mah caddy from da shop." said Renet. "Renet, isn't that the sixth time this week that your car has been in the shop? Why don't you get a new one?" asked Lola. "It's been in the country family for years. I mean it's still got the bull horns on top of the hood, ya can't just get rid of a car like that." said Renet. "Well, I hope it's all right now. I'll call you later." said Lola. "Okay." said Renet, and she walked off. Lola walked into Bugs's office. He was reading over a bunch of test papers. "Hey Bugs, what's up?" said Lola as she came in. Bugs looked up. "Hey Lola. Notin' much, just grading some papers from today's Toon Physics class." said Bugs. "The usual?" asked Lola, taking a seat on Bugs's desk. "As always. Someone tryin' ta get a good grade by writing some cockamamy about gravity goin' on vacation." said Bugs. Then he put down his pen and looked up at Lola. "How was your day?" asked Bugs. "Well, pretty good. Plucky tried to get a 'favor' from Daffy and Delilah for the auditions, but good thing me and Renet were there. Then Buster and Babs were chosen for Romeo and Juliet. I guess it was a pretty average day." said Lola. "That's good." said Bugs. He was clearly tired. "You look so tired. Why don't you go home? You can grade the test papers tomorrow." said Lola. "My car is in da shop." said Bugs. "What is it with Cadillacs? Everybody's is in the shop." said Lola. "Mine is in the body shop. Seems as if a certain duck 'accidentally' crashed into the side a'mine." said Bugs. "Ooo, sorry about that. My car isn't the best, but it gets me where I wanna go. I can take you home." said Lola. "Okay, I'm glad that I won't have ta burrow home, like I did to da Loonivoisity." said Bugs. Lola got up from the desk. Bugs put away the papers and his pen, then pulled some keys out of a drawer, and got up. He and Lola left the room. Then after Bugs locked up his office, the two went to Lola's Plymouth Reliant. Lola drove him home. Then before he got out, Bugs kissed her, but stopped after a while, noticing Buster, Babs, Plucky, and Shirley all pointing and giggling. "I, uh, tink I betta go." said Bugs. "Uh, yeah, sure." said Lola, and Bugs got out of the car. Both Bugs and Lola were blushing by now. The group of toons then walked on. Plucky started going in a different direction from everyone else. "Hey Pluckster, where are you going?" asked Buster. "Taking a shortcut, come on." said Plucky. "I don't know, I've heard, like, pretty bad things about shortcuts." said Shirley. "Come on, it'll be fun." said Plucky. The other 3 toons eventually joined Plucky. The shortcut had a lot of twists and turns, but they soon came upon a large white mansion. "Wow." is all Plucky said as his eyes turned to dollar signs. "Did Monty move or something?" Babs asked to no one in particular. "I don't, like, think this is Monty's." said Shirley. They soon noticed some burly guys taking heavy suitcases and things out of a large limo, and putting them into the house. "Who's in there?" Buster wondered aloud. "I'm gonna find out." said Plucky. But just as he was about to run to the limo, Babs grabbed him. "Are you crazy?! If those guys know we're here, who knows what they'll do!" said Babs while holding the back of his shirt. Plucky tried his best to hold in his intense curiosity. Soon, the door to the limo was opened by a chauffeur, and one furry foot with a high-heeled black sandal on, stepped out, then the other, and out of the limo came a tall gray rabbit, with long lop ears, and wearing a red mini-tube dress, with a black jacket over it, and wearing black sunglasses. She looked up at the mansion, and walked down the cement walkway to the house, and went inside. "Who was that?" wondered Plucky aloud. A guard started looking over in their direction. "Never mind who, I think we should go, now!" said Buster, and he dragged all of his friends away from the mansion. "No more shortcuts Plucky, we're going our normal way." said Buster. Plucky hardly heard what Buster said, as he was too busy wondering who was in that gorgeous mansion. The next day, as school began, a black limo pulled up to the school, and the same bunny that the toon group saw the previous day, stepped out. She waved off the limo, and it pulled away. Buster, Babs, and Plucky watched her walk up the stairs of the Looniversity and inside. Some lovestruck male toons followed her closely, hearts in their eyes and all around them. "Somehow she looks familiar." said Buster to himself. "Like who?" asked Babs. "Like someone from one of Bugs' cartoons." replied Buster. "Come on, let's see where she's going." said Plucky, for once, dragging the two into Acme Loo. The rabbit walked all the way to the Dean's office. Lola was inside talking to Bugs, when a knock came on the door. "Come in." said Bugs. The rabbit walked in. Her glasses were still on, so she wasn't really recognizable. "May I help you?" asked Bugs, just a bit curious about who this toon was. She removed her glasses, and looked straight at Bugs. He was absolutely shocked to see who it was. Lola was absolutely displeased to see who it was. "Honey?!" Bugs asked. "I'm glad to see you didn't forget me." she said, smiling slyly. "You've changed!" said Bugs. "Yeah, I guess I have. The little sweet girl image wasn't working for me." said Honey. "You sure did change your image." said Bugs, looking at her. Lola cleared her throat. "Oh, uh. Honey, dis is me goilfriend, Lola." said Bugs. Honey looked over at Lola, a small frown came and left her face quickly. "Hello, Lola." said Honey. "Hello." said Lola back, not looking all that pleased with Honey's presence, but being polite anyway. "So," said Honey, turning back to Bugs, "I heard of a nice job opening for Fem Fashion 101. I was wondering if you were still taking applications." said Honey. "Sure." said Bugs, and he handed Honey an application form from his desk. Honey read it over, and signed it. Then she handed the form back to Bugs. "There you go. When do I begin work?" asked Honey. "Tomorra morning. Come see me for class times." said Bugs. "Sure, a pleasure doing business with you. Bye." she said. Then Lola and Honey eyed each other before Honey left the room. Lola's arms were folded, and she didn't look very happy. Bugs looked at her, and couldn't help but chuckle to himself. "What's so funny?" asked Lola, turning to Bugs. "You're jealous." he said. "I'm not jealous! I just don't like her." said Lola. "Oh come on Lola, she just wanted a job." said Bugs. "A job? There are a million jobs in all of Acme Acres AND Looney Tune Land put together, why Acme Loo?" asked Lola. "Because maybe she wanted to be a teacha." said Bugs. "Oh really now, she doesn't look like the teacher type. Just look at how she dresses. Teaching Fem Fashion 101, she'll soon have everyone around here dressing like hoochies." said Lola. "Now Lola, calm down. She's no competition for you." said Bugs, putting an arm around Lola. "It's just that I don't want the likes of her to take you from me." said Lola, calming down. "Don't worry about dat, I won't let 'er." said Bugs, reassuring Lola. She was now calm, and just looked up into Bugs' eyes, noticing that he was being sincere, she smiled. Honey had walked outside the Loo, into her limo, that just happened to return, and left. Buster, Babs, and Plucky watched her leave, then began walking to their first period class. "I knew I knew her from somewhere." said Buster. "Yeah, now that we know who she is, what is she doing here?" asked Plucky. "I don't know, I could be wrong. But I don't think it's for any good reason." said Babs. After school, the final casts were made for Romeo and Juliet, then everyone headed home. "Hey guys, how's about we go back to that mansion?" suggested Plucky. "Like, bad idea Plucky. That could be a mondo bad decision." said Shirley. "I don't know, I am kinda curious about what Honey's up to." said Buster. "Me too." said Babs. Then she spin-changed into a Sherlock Holmes outfit, complete with magnifying glass. "Let's go investigating!" she said excitedly. "I agree with Babs, it could be fun." said Buster. "The votes tally at 3 to 1. You lose Shirl. Let's go spying!" said Plucky. Shirley reluctantly tagged behind, only because she had no other clique to hang with. The group soon reached the mansion, in all it's splendid glory. "How are we gonna get in there?" asked Babs. Buster looked around. "There! That vent to the basement." said Buster, pointing to the side of the house. The group ran over, and squeezed in, one by one. Inside, they landed on a pile of dirty clothes. "Euw! Someone hasn't taken a bath in months!" exclaimed Babs. "Like, mondo digusting!" Shirley complained, picking underwear off the top of her head. Buster held up a very lacey black bra in front of him and began staring at it. Babs snatched it away from him and threw it back into the laundry pile. "Let's go blue boy." she said as she grabbed him by the ears. They all then jumped out of the basket, and went over to the basement door leading upstairs. They went up and out, and into the kitchen. In the kitchen were two Pit Bulls. The dogs suddenly spotted the toons, but did nothing. They just sat and stared. "I don't mean to sound ungrateful but, why aren't you doing anything?" asked Buster. "We're too good to chase meddling toons." said one Pit, a female. "We rather sneak up on a guard and bite his butt." said the other, a male. "Mmm, rump roast." said the female with a smile. They both then laughed. "Hey great. Then do us a favor will ya? Make sure those guards leave us alone." asked Buster. "Sure, no problem." said the female Pit. "Thanks! Come by my burrow for a party anytime." said Buster. "Thanks!" both Pits replied. "Come on, let's go find Honey." said Plucky. "She's in the den on the phone." said the male Pit. "Thanks again." said Babs. "Arnold should take some tips from those two." said Plucky as they headed towards the den. There, just as the Pit Bull said, Honey was on the phone. The toons were now listening. "I know! It was such an easy plan, now I find out he has a girlfriend. Yeah, a girlfriend!" said Honey. Someone talks on the other line. "Exactly, exactly. Now, this makes my plan sooo hard. If he has a girlfriend, how am I going to be his girlfriend?" said Honey. Person talks on the other line again. "Of course I don't love him! It's all about the money sweety, that's all. I've been married 7 times already, how do you think I got all this cash, the mansion, and the limo?" Person talking. "Exactly, there's just no other way, except catching a few jobs at the side. But I'm too good to be salting some stupid fries at McDonalds. With this body, I'm going to just get enough money to get some really good pics for a modeling agency, then it's easy street from there." said Honey. A person talks on the other line as Honey continues her conversation. "I knew Honey being here wasn't good." said Babs. "We've gotta warn Lola and Bugs somehow." said Buster. "I don't think so." said a voice behind them. The toons turned around to see a pure white rabbit dressed in brown pants, and a blue T-shirt. He couldn't of been more than 10 years old. "I've been looking for playmates for a long time." he said, grinning slyly. The group gulped. "Aunty Honey!! Can I keep the trespassers for prisoners?!" shouted the rabbit. "I don't care Arthur, I'm on the phone!!" Honey shouted back. "Really Joan, I don't know what I'll do if my sister doesn't pick up her brat child tonight. . ." said Honey continuing her conversation. Arthur smiled slyly, grabbed Buster and Babs' ears, and Shirley and Plucky's feet, and dragged them up a long flight of stairs to the attic. There, he tied them up, then turned on the light. All kinds of weird, torn-up toys laid around them, as well as mallets and clubs. "We're gonna have lotsa fun." grinned Arthur as he rubbed his hands together. The toon group trembled. Arthur then picked up Buster and Babs, and put them on a table. He then began wielding a large wooden mallet over Buster and Babs as they cringed. Just then, a knock came on the door, and Arthur put down the mallet. "Man! Who could that be? I got some destroyin' to do." complained Arthur. Then he opened the door, and saw no one at it. He scratched his head, then shrugged, and closed the door. When Arthur turned back to his "prisoners", they were gone. "Hey! Where'd they go?!" Arthur shouted. Right outside the window were the toons, standing on a ledge. "Thanks for untying us so quickly, we really owe you two." said Babs to the two Pits. "We know." they said in unison, and went into the window where Arthur was. Arthur was deathly afraid of the Pits, so he wouldn't do anything to the dogs. The toons got down from the ledge by use of the gutter, then ran off towards their homes. The next day, at school, many times during the day, either Buster, Babs, Plucky, or Shirley tried to talk to Lola or Bugs. But they either were busy doing something else, walked away too soon, or were talking to Honey. The cause was seemingly hopeless. Later on that day, auditions were again going on for the Romeo and Juliet play. Even some of the staff were auditioning for the parts of Romeo's parents, and Juliet's parents. Daffy and Delilah, although the wrong species, were Juliet's parents. Babs was not pleased. "So, I got stuck with the ducks." she said as her arms were folded. "Relax Babsy, at least they're not your real parents." said Buster reassuringly as he put an arm around her. Babs looked over at them as they studied their lines together, and out loud, and she shuddered. Next, Bugs got the role of Romeo's father, and Lola stepped up to audition for the role of Romeo's mother. After she was done, the casting director glanced around, and then turned back to his paper. "Well then, since there are no other auditions for the role of Romeo's mother then . . ." "Wait!" a female voice interrupted the casting director. He looked up. Honey sauntered over to him. "I wouldn't say that." she said. Everyone was surprised to see her there. "May I help you?" asked the director. "Yes, I'd like to try out for the role of Romeo's mother." she said. Lola did not look happy at all, and she quickly turned to Bugs. "She's trying to take my role." she said. Bugs looked surprised. Lola looked over at Honey. "Well, you're a little late for the auditions, I was just about to announce Lola as the mother." said the casting director. "I hate to contradict you, but casting ends at 5pm, it's only 4:55pm right now." said Honey. The casting director looked over at the clock, then back to her. "Well, I guess you're right. Okay, here's a script, you can audition." said the casting director handing her a script. "But wait a minute. . ." interrupted Lola. "Now now Lola, everyone can audition." said the casting director. Lola folded her arms, she didn't like what Honey was doing one bit, and Honey could tell. She walked up onto the stage, and stood in the center. Bugs noticed Lola's upset expression. "Don't worry, she can try out, but it doesn't mean that she'll make it." he reassured her. Lola smiled at him. Then Honey began her audition, and surprisingly enough, finished it very well. The casting director clapped for her. "Well, we can certainly see the pure talent here. Sorry Lola, but Honey made the cut." said the director as he wrote it down. Lola almost fainted. "You call that acting? I've seen the Ducks do better!" said Lola. "Hey!" said the offended Ducks together. Honey walked off the stage, and brushed past Lola, glancing back at her with an evil grin. She gave the script to the casting director. "So when does rehearsal start?" Honey asked. "It'll be announced during homeroom and posted on the student/faculty board once I decide." said the casting director. "Okay, thank you." said Honey, and she walked out of the auditorium. Lola walked over to the casting director. "Where does that leave me?" she asked. "Well, there's an opening for stage management." said the casting director. "Stage management?" she asked, looking very displeased. "Now dere must be sometin' betta." said Bugs as he joined the two. "Sorry, Honey got the last in-play role." said the casting director. "Stold is more like it." said Lola under her breath. "Sorry. Hey, maybe you'll get a role next time." said the casting director. Then he picked up his things, and walked out of the auditorium. Daffy snickered as they began leaving. Delilah hit him. "That's not funny Daffy. I'm real sorry about what happened Lola, you should've gotten the role, really you should've." said Delilah comfortingly. "Thanks Delilah, but I think I'll just go home now." said Lola, and she picked up her jacket, and left. "Come on Delilah, we have practicing to do." said Daffy. "I'll be there soon." said Delilah. Daffy left the auditorium while Delilah went up to Bugs and shoved him a bit as he got his stuff. "Whatcha do that for?" asked Bugs in surprise. "Your girlfriend just lost a role made for her, to some hussy that comes in just like that, and you don't have anything to say?" asked Delilah. "What should I say? It's just a play. Though I really would've liked Lola to be Lady Montague." said Bugs. "I do declare, you guys are the thickest headed . . ." said Delilah as she left the auditorium. Bugs stood there and scratched his head. He had no idea what was going on. As Lola drove off in her car in the parking lot, she failed to notice that deep in the shadows, in a black limousine, she was being watched by Honey. "Follow her." said Honey to her driver, and he did. They followed Lola all the way to her house. There, they waited in the shadows. Lola parked her car in the grassy driveway right next to her door. Her door was in a large tree trunk, and it led down into her burrow. As she opened the door, a small purple bunny ran out along with a slightly older black one. These were Lola's siblings. "Have you two been good?" she asked them. "Yep, I read a book, and ate macaroni and cheese, and watched tv and . . ." "Okay Liona, I get the picture. How about you Stevey?" asked Lola to the black bunny. "I watched Liona." he said plainly. He was the monotone type, and Lola sometimes wondered how they could ever be part of the same family. "Okay, well, come on inside and I'll start dinner." said Lola. Lola, then Liona went in, but Stevey stood outside the entrance for a while, just looking around. Then he looked over towards the shadows where Honey was in her limo. He stared there, as he saw the limo. "What's he looking at? Why doesn't he just go inside?" asked Honey. "Beats me, ma'am." said the driver. Stevey stared for a moment, his sharp green eyes fixated there. "This won't be good." he said quietly, and he went into the house and locked the door. Honey shuddered. "Goodness, is he ever creepy." said Honey. The next morning, Lola was in her house getting ready to go to Acme Loo. "Liona, what time did Jim say he'd be by?" asked Lola as she stuffed some things into her gym bag. "He's not coming. He gots ta go and take his kids to the dentist." said Liona as she sat at the table in her booster seat, eating some Cheerios. "What? But I can't leave you here by yourself." said Lola. "I won't be. Stevey's gonna watch me like always." said Liona. "Not today he isn't. I finally got him into Acme Loo." said Lola. "What?" asked Stevey as he looked up from eating his oatmeal at the table. "You heard me, you're going to school now. Ever since mom and dad decided to have you all live with me while they travel all over the world, I haven't been able to get you in school. Until now that is." said Lola as she came into the kitchen. "But it's not even the first day of school." said Stevey. "But it's still the beginning of the year, you'll make it." said Lola as she went into the laundry room. "And what about Liona?" asked Stevey. "Well, since our good brother Jim can't watch her, she's just going to have to come with us, that's all." said Lola. "But I wanna watch cartoons at home." said Liona. "You can watch them in the faculty office, as long as you don't touch anything." said Lola as she came out of the laundry room holding a pair of jeans. "I'm done." said Liona. Lola then picked her up out of the booster seat, and put her down on the floor. "Go get changed." said Lola. "Okey dokey." said Liona as she skipped over to her room. "Hey Stevey, catch." said Lola. Stevey looked up as Lola tossed him a pair of jeans and a black belt. "And just what do you expect me to do with these?" asked Stevey. "Put them on, what else?" asked Lola. "But I never wear pants." said Stevey. "Well you do at Acme Loo." said Lola. "But that blue guy, what's his name, Buster or whatever. He doesn't wear pants." said Stevey. "No, but he wears a shirt, and you hate shirts." said Lola as she put some coffee into a travel cup. "Well I hate pants too." said Stevey as he put the pants down on the floor next to him. Lola picked them up, and slid the belt through the belt loops. "You're wearing these pants." said Lola. "I'm 13 years old. I'd like to see you make me." said Stevey as he folded his arms and sat back in his chair. "Liona! Are you dressed yet?" called Lola. "Yep, all done!" said Liona as she hopped into the room in a little blue dress. "Good, now help me dress our brother." said Lola. "But Stevey's a big bunny. Can't he dress himself?" asked Liona with a puzzled expression on her face. "Stevey doesn't want to get dressed." said Lola. Liona gasped. "Stevey! You want to go outside naked? You're bad!" she said. Stevey glared at Lola and Liona, trying to make his unusual green eyes intimidate them. "Stevey, we're used to those eyes of yours by now. You're wearing pants." said Lola. "Oh no I'm not." said Stevey. "Oh yes you are." said Lola as she and Liona approached him. He stood up on the table. "No I'm not." said Stevey as he leaped up onto the table. "Yes you are!" said Liona as she jumped up high enough to hold onto the ceiling fan (that was off), and then reached down and grabbed Stevey's ears. He then got pulled up, and dangled in the air with Liona holding his ears. "Let go Liona, or I shall be forced to hurt you." said Stevey. "You know you can't hurt me." said Liona. "Shutup." said Stevey, as he knew he couldn't. He didn't like to. Lola then put the pants on Stevey, and buckled the belt. She then put a lock on the belt so that he couldn't take the pants off. "Okay Liona, let 'im go." said Lola. Liona let go of Stevey's ears, then jumped down onto the table, then onto the floor. "You two suck." said Stevey. He never got too emotional about anything, so it was very rare to hear him yell, no matter how annoyed he was. His monotone voice made it very hard to tell what mood he was in. "We love you too, Stevey!" said Lola and Liona as they gave him a quick hug, and then laughed. "Come on, let's go." said Lola, and they all got into her little car, and to the Looniversity. Inside, Lola first made a stop to Bugs' office, where Honey already was, talking to him while sitting at the edge of his desk. Lola saw this and was fuming inside. "That's my seat!" she said in her mind. "Good morning." said Lola, forcing a smile. Bugs looked nervous. "Good morning, Lola." said Honey, her usual wicked smile flashing at Lola. "Morning Lola." said Bugs. "Morning Bugs." said Lola as she put down her gym bag in the corner of the office. "Hiya Bugs!" said Liona cheerfully as she jumped up onto a chair. "Hey Liona. Hi Stevey. What brings you two here?" asked Bugs. "I get to stay with Lola today cos I don't gots a baby sitter." said Liona. "I'm starting school." said Stevey. "Really? Great." said Bugs. "Easy for you to say. I have to wear pants." said Stevey. "Well, we all gotta make sacrifices." said Bugs. Honey then noticed Stevey, and remembered how he looked at her limo the day before. Stevey stared at her. Well, glared is more like it. He knew that he didn't like her. He didn't like many people, but especially her. "So, Honey. Do chairs bother you?" asked Lola, hinting at Honey sitting on Bugs' desk. "Oh, not at all. It was just more cozy up here." said Honey, being a little too bold for her own good. "I see." said Lola as she stood against the wall, folding her arms. "You know, falling off of desks is one of the major causes of serious and permanent injury in the United States. I would watch that if I were you." said Stevey. "Yeah, uh, maybe you shouldn't sit there." said Bugs, noticing Lola's expression. Honey was more intimidated by Stevey though, and slid down off the desk, her dress sliding up on her thigh a little. She then pulled it down once she stood up. "I should get to my classes now. Bye everyone." she said, and left the room. Lola watched her walk out, as did Stevey and Liona. "Who's that?" asked Liona. "She's a who . . ." "Stevey! Don't say words like that around Liona." said Lola, covering Liona's long, purple lop ears. "My mistake." said Stevey. "Lola, I didn't ask her to sit there, honestly. She just, did." said Bugs. Lola looked at him for a moment, he was obviously nervous about her reaction. Then she sighed. "It's not you I don't trust Bugs, it's her. Something about her. . . " said Lola, her voice trailing off. "She dresses like the ladies on the sidewalk in the city." said Liona. "I couldn't agree with you more." said Stevey. "Well, we'll deal with that issue later. Right now, Stevey's gonna start school. Delilah helped me make his schedule yesterday, it's in the top left drawer." said Lola. Bugs went to grab it. Liona took some tissues and began wiping the spot where Honey was sitting. "Whatcha doin' that for?" asked Lola. "Street lady cooties." said Liona as she threw the tissues in the garbage. Stevey let out one small chuckle, and forced back his smile. "Here ya go. Stevey's schedule." said Bugs. Lola took it from him and handed it to Stevey. "Now you and Liona stand outside the room while I talk to Bugs for a moment, okay?" said Lola. "Okay." said Liona. Then she and Stevey went out of the room. Lola closed the door behind them, then turned to Bugs. "Uh oh, here it comes." said Bugs, knowing Lola's body language. She put her hands on her hips. "You know you could be a little more observant." she said. "What do you mean?" asked Bugs. "You know what I mean! If the girl wears tight, revealing clothing, sits on your desk, and uses a sexy voice on you, she wants you!" said Lola, taking her hands from her hips and walking closer to Bugs' desk. "You do the same ting sometimes." said Bugs. "Case and point." said Lola. "True." said Bugs. "Listen Bugs, I'm letting you know now. Watch out, she's after you, and I don't like it. Not in the least bit. I mean, before I came in here, she was probably hinting at something." said Lola. "No, she wasn't really." said Bugs. "Or you didn't catch it." said Lola. "Come on Lola, Honey ain't gonna do notin'. She maybe still likes me, and may try to get wit me, but it won't happen." said Bugs. Lola sighed. "I gotta go." she said, and turned to leave the office. "Lola?" said Bugs. Lola turned around. "I love you." he said. Lola gave a small smile. "I love you too, that's why I worry so much." she said, then she closed the door and left. Outside, Stevey and Liona were talking together. "Come on, let's go." said Lola, and she walked down the hallway with her two youngest siblings. Stevey looked up at Lola, and could tell that something was wrong. No matter how heartless he seemed, Stevey actually cared a lot about his family, he just wasn't the type that openly showed it. Down the hall, Lola and her siblings went into Delilah's homeroom just as she was passing out a flyer. "Hey Delilah, I've got a new student for ya." said Lola. Delilah turned to Lola. "Oh hey! And who do we have here?" asked Delilah. "This is Stevey Bunny, my 13-year-old brother." said Lola as she stood in front of the class. "Hi." said Stevey, his monotone voice striking everyone as weird. The End (for now that is) Bunny Trouble: Pt. 2 Stevey looked at the toony kids in the room, and wondered how he ever got stuck in a place like this. "You can take a seat anywhere you like." said Delilah. Stevey looked around, and saw a seat near the back, and sat there. Delilah shuddered a bit as she looked at him, and slid over to Lola. "Is he, um, okay?" asked Delilah silently to Lola. "Yeah, he is. He just likes to act scary. And don't get scared by his green eyes, he's not menacing." said Lola. "Well, okay." said Delilah. "Bye Stevey!" yelled Liona as she and Lola left the room. "Bye." said Stevey. Buster and Plucky were sitting a couple rows in front of Stevey as he sat in the back, near the shadows. Plucky shuddered. "Is he creepy or what?" said Plucky. "I don't get it with Lola's family. How in the world can she be related to him?" asked Buster. "Beats me. And I don't care, as long as he stays away from me." said Plucky. Stevey looked in their direction. "Quick! Turn around." said Buster. They did so. Stevey looked at them for a moment, then sank back in his desk, feeling a painful emotion rush over him, then leave just as quickly as it came. He knew that he would not fit in. One class that day was study hall, and was held in the library. Stevey noticed how Buster, Babs, Plucky, and Shirley were all at one table. He turned one of his ears towards their direction to listen into their conversation. "So, have any of you gotten to talk to Bugs or Lola yet?" asked Buster. "Like, no. They're all like, always busy or some junk." said Shirley. "But we've gotta warn them about Honey before it's too late. There's no telling what she'll do." said Babs. That was it, Stevey knew that they knew something that he didn't. Being anti-social, Stevey wasn't the type to go and approach anyone, at any time, for any reason. But he had to make an exception, for his sister's sake. Stevey got up from his table, and walked over to the group. He was nervous, but didn't know why. Was he afraid that they'd run from him? Or ignore him? He just shook off the worries, and kept walking. Then Stevey stood at the edge of the table and cleared his throat. The group all looked at him. "Yeesh! It's him." said Plucky, shuddering again. "Heh heh, hi, um, Stevey, was it?" said Buster, feeling kind of nervous around Stevey. Stevey sighed. "Listen, I'm not here to hurt anyone, or do anything bad. I didn't even want to come over here." said Stevey. "So why did you?" asked Babs, feeling a little offended about his last comment. "Because you were talking about that, Honey person. And well, since Lola's my sister, I, well . . . I wanted to know what you knew about Honey's plans." said Stevey. "How do we know that you're not working for her?" asked Buster suspiciously. "Because if I were a bad guy, I'd keep my distance and not talk at all to anyone. But I'm making an effort to talk to you. I don't wanna see Lola get . . . well, I don't like Honey either." said Stevey. Babs noticed that he kept trailing off with some of his sentences, just when it started to sound like he had a heart. "All right then, sit down." said Babs. "Are you crazy?!" said Plucky. Babs glared at him for a moment. Plucky just sat back in his chair. Stevey sat down. "Okay, so what do you want to know?" asked Buster. "What she's up to." replied Stevey. "She wants to like, be Bugs' girl or some junk." said Shirley. Stevey's eyes narrowed. "I knew I never liked her." he said. "Could you, um, please not do that?" asked Babs, shuddering a bit. "What?" asked Stevey. "That thing with your eyes. It freaks me out." said Babs. Stevey stopped narrowing his eyes. "Quite frankly, most things that I do freak people out." he said. "Then why don't you stop it?" asked Plucky. "Because being scary or creepy is how I am." said Stevey. "Listen, we're not gonna get anywhere downing Lola's creepy brother, so let's just accept him as who he is." said Buster. "Yeah, I mean like, I get good karma from him. He's not bad." said Shirley. Stevey looked at her. "What are you?" he asked. "Like, what do you mean?" asked Shirley. "What's good karma. What's karma for that matter?" asked Stevey. "It's like, beyond you." said Shirley. "And they think I'm weird." said Stevey to himself. "All right, so how did you find out about Honey? I mean, besides her being a teacher in this school?" asked Buster. "I didn't know who she was at first, but someone hid in some bushes, in a limo near Lola's house. They were spying on us. I saw everyone inside, I can see through tinted windows. She was there, just staring at our house. She's up to no good." said Stevey. "How can you see through tinted windows?" asked Plucky. "I just can, besides, that's not the point. I want to know what Honey is up to, that's all." said Stevey. "Well, we'll tell you all we know about Honey. She's a sweet cartoon turned money-crazed hoochie who wants Bugs for his money, and needs to get Lola out of the way for that." said Babs. "I see." said Stevey, looking distant. "So, what are you gonna do?" asked Buster. "I don't know. I might just watch her for a while." said Stevey, as he was about to get up from the table. "So that's it? No making group plans or anything? No, 'how 'bout we talk later on' no nothing?" asked Babs. "When I see the need, we'll talk. But right now, I have to work some things out for myself." said Stevey. Then as he tried to get up from the table, he found it a bit difficult. Something was weighing him down. He kept pulling up, but couldn't easily budge. "Uh, is something, wrong?" asked Buster. Stevey looked down, and noticed that the lock that Lola put on his pants slid under his seat, and held him down. He then tried to pull at it, and finally got it loose, falling to the floor at the same time. "I hate pants." he commented as he laid back on the floor. During Lola's lunch break that day, Delilah came up to her and Liona. "Hey you two." said Delilah as she approached them. "Hey Delilah." said Lola. "Hey Liona, here's the remote control to the TV next door, how 'bout watching some cartoons while I talk to Lola?" suggested Delilah. "Okay! Thank you Delililiah." said Liona, who couldn't pronounce Delilah's name very well. Then she went next door. "What's on your mind?" asked Lola as she stood up from getting a soda from the vending machine. "It's about Honey. I overheard her talking to Bugs earlier today, before you came. She's asking a lot of relationship questions, about you and Bugs." said Delilah. "Oh really? Why that little . . ." "Calm down Lola, Bugs has been doing very well. He seems very happy with you, and has even told Honey that a couple of things are none of her business." said Delilah. "That's great! But why do you still look low?" asked Lola. "Because if she keeps up with that . . . well, you know how guys are so gullible. If she keeps up with that, he'll start thinking about every little aspect of your relationship. Things could get ugly. I just wanna warn you. Maybe you should have a talk with Honey." said Delilah. "You know, I think you're right." said Lola. "I am. Uh oh, here she comes now. Listen, be careful okay, she doesn't look too right in the head to me." said Delilah. "Don't worry, I'll be all right." said Lola. Delilah just looked worried, but she left the room anyway. Honey eyed Delilah as she exited the room. Delilah just ignored her. Honey went into the faculty's vending machine room where Lola was. Lola stood against a wall, sipping on her soda. Honey got some from the vending machine. "Nice day, isn't it?" asked Lola calmly. "For some of us." said Honey as she stood up and was about to leave. Lola picked up a basketball that was on the table next to her, and tossed it across the room, which slammed the door closed. The ball then bounced off a few things, and went right back into Lola's hands. She put it down gently. Honey turned to her. "We need to talk." said Lola. "Oh really? And what could you possibly have to discuss with me?" asked Honey as she put a hand on her hip. "You know what, or should I say, who." said Lola as she stopped leaning against the wall. "Oh yes, you're bunny honey." said Honey as she walked over to Lola. "Yeah, exactly. I know that you like Bugs, and who wouldn't. He's a nice guy. But he's taken, if you haven't noticed." said Lola. "Oh I'm not blind Lola, I notice very well. But you can't help a girl for trying can you? Of course not." said Honey. "Well I suggest that you stop trying, because you won't succeed." said Lola. "If you know I won't succeed, how come you don't want me to try? Unless you think I will succeed, in which case, you'd be right." said Honey, a sly, evil look coming onto her face. Lola scrunched up her can in anger, and tossed it into the garbage. She then came up closer to Honey. "I'm not afraid of you, Honey. I never was, I am not, and I never will be. I think you should get that through your head." said Lola. "And what if I don't?" asked Honey. "There will be consequences." said Lola. Honey laughed lightly. "You actually think that you intimidate me? Please, money is power, I'll have you out of my way yet." said Honey. "And just what is that supposed to mean?" asked Lola, her expression becoming slightly puzzled, but more angry than anything else. "You'll see. You will definitely see." said Honey, then she left the room. Lola was burning with anger. She sat on the small table in the room and folded her arms. There was nothing she could do. After school, students and faculty alike went to the student/faculty board to find out when the rehearsals would start. "Rehearsals begin tomorrow afternoon at 4pm." read the board. Stevey looked up at the board, and then down the hall to where the auditorium was. He then walked down the hallway, and went into the auditorium. In there, he looked around the stage area. The backstage area looked pretty normal. He looked at every part of it, taking in every detail and feel of it. He then left the auditorium, and walked down the hallway. He saw Honey and Bugs talking. She was slowly inching up closer to him, and looking into his eyes a lot. Stevey saw Dizzy coming up the hall, and glanced back to Bugs and Honey. He then walked up to Dizzy and whispered something in his ear. "What?" asked Dizzy. Stevey nodded. Dizzy got an angry look on his face. "Dizzy no is fat purple furball!!" shouted Dizzy as he began spinning right at Honey. He then rammed right into Honey's heels, causing her to fall over. "Aaahh!" she screamed as she fell down. "Why you little . . ." Bugs was about to help her up, but decided not to. Stevey tried to keep himself from laughing, but couldn't. He then opened a locker, and ran into it, and burst out laughing inside. He felt sort of cramped in there though, and looked to the side of him, and noticed two pairs of eyes staring at him. "Stevey?" said a familiar voice. Stevey jumped out of the locker, and held open the door to see Buster and Babs in there. He raised his eyebrows a little bit, and then lowered them again. "What were you two . . . never mind, I don't wanna know." said Stevey. The two bunnies came out of the locker. "You laugh?" asked Buster in surprise. "Only when something is absolutely hilarious." said Stevey. "And what was so funny?" asked Babs. Stevey looked down the hallway, and didn't see Bugs anymore, but Honey was there dusting herself off. "Honey fell flat on her butt." said Stevey, then he dashed into the locker again. Buster and Babs heard laughing from in there. Then Stevey jumped out and looked normally quiet, spooky, and monotone again. "You know what Stevey? You're all right." said Buster. "Obviously." said Stevey. Liona then ran down the hallway, and right into Stevey. "Hiya!" she said as she gave him a big hug. "Hi Liona." said Stevey as he pat her on the head. She got off of him, and looked at Buster and Babs. "Hi!" she said. "Hi, and who are you?" asked Buster. "Liona Bunny, and I turned 5 years old just last week!" said Liona. "Nice ta meet ya kid." said Buster. Liona smiled, then turned to Stevey. "Lola says it's time to go home now." said Liona. "Ok. I'll see you two tomorrow then." said Stevey. "Bye!" said Buster and Babs together. Stevey waved, and walked out of the Looniversity with Liona. Buster turned back to Babs. "Back to the locker?" asked Buster slyly. "I thought you'd never ask." replied Babs. Then they hopped back into the locker. For the next few days, rehearsal went on after school, and Honey was always around Bugs. Lola had been growing more and more jealous, and there was more and more tension between her and Bugs. Stevey however, had his mind on other things besides the tension, he noticed other things going on backstage in the auditorium. One day, the day before the actual play, Lola (who was on stage crew), went backstage to get something. She went in the back, and started picking something up when she was grabbed from behind. Lola screamed. "Get off of me! Help!" she said, but she was quickly tied up and gagged. She was then laid in a corner, desperately trying to get free of her ropes, and trying to scream. Honey then stepped out of the shadows with two muscular men at her sides. "I told you that I'd have you out of my way." said Honey with an evil grin. Lola looked at her with angry eyes. Honey then ripped one strap of her black mini-dress, and tore a rip through the bottom. "And don't think that anyone will get suspicious either. I've got this down-packed. You see Lola, I was born an actress. I'll just say that I was attacked, by who, well, they'll figure it out when you seem to have just, disappeared." said Honey. Lola's eyes narrowed and she began yelling. Honey laughed a little. "Lock her up boys." said Honey as she walked away. Then the two men opened the bottom of the stage, and threw Lola into it. They then closed it back up, and walked away. Lola desperately tried to free herself, screaming as well, but no one heard her at all. Honey then began walking down the hallway of Acme Loo, to Bugs' office. She stopped in the hallway for a moment to rip her dress a little more, then continued walking. From their spot behind a locker, Stevey, Buster, and Plucky saw her. "I wonder what she's up to." said Buster. "Come on, let's find out." said Plucky. Then the three boys followed silently behind Honey until she got to Bugs' office. Then they hid in the corners. Honey roughed up her dress a little, and stood there putting fake tears into her eyes. Stevey studied her every move. Then she burst open the door to Bugs' office. "Oh Bugs! It was awful!" shouted Honey as she burst into the office. Delilah was also in there, obviously taking notes of some kind from Bugs. "What happened?" asked Bugs. "I was just backstage in the auditorium, picking up the script I left there, and I was attacked, just out of no where! Someone just ran at me shouting obscene words, and slapped me . . . oh I can't stand to talk about it." said Honey shakily as she sat down on a chair. Delilah folded her arms; she wasn't buying it. Bugs looked worried. "Are you all right?" he asked. "I think so, I just . . . I just need to catch my breath." said Honey. "You poor ting. I'll get a doctor." said Bugs as he was about to pick up the phone. "No! I mean, no that's ok. I'll be all right. I just need to rest." said Honey, looking as pitiful as anything. "You don't look bruised at all." said Delilah defiantly. Honey looked up at Delilah with a mean glare, and Delilah returned the glare. "Now Delilah, can't you see that Honey's shaken up? Dat's proof enough." said Bugs. "I've seen enough of this show. I'm going home." said Delilah, and she threw down her paper and pen on Bugs' desk, and left the room. Daffy then came in. "Someone's limo is out front." he said. "Oh that's mine. I can't bear to walk to it, by myself." said Honey, looking at Bugs. "I can imagine. Here, I'll help ya." said Bugs. Then he helped Honey out of her chair, and held her hand as they walked out of the Looniversity. Buster, Plucky, and Stevey all watched as they left. "Something's not right." said Stevey. "Bugs believes her! How could a guy who outsmarts hunters, believe a sly con artist like Honey?!" asked Buster in disbelief. "She's a great actress." said Plucky, not even caring much about her scheme. Buster smacked Plucky upside his head. "What?!" Plucky complained as he rubbed the back of his head. "Come on, I have to see what Honey does next." said Stevey as he begins to walk away from the group. They follow him. Outside, Bugs just got Honey down all of the stairs, and into her limo. "There ya go. You can have the day off tomorra if ya like. I know that dis was pretty upsettin' to ya." said Bugs. "No, (sniffle), I wouldn't dream of letting the students down. You know, when it comes to the play and all. I'll be fine." said Honey. "Okay." said Bugs. Then the limo drives away, and Bugs climbs back up the stairs of the Looniversity. "She's definitely done something." said Buster. "Who's done something?" asked a small voice. The group turns around to see Liona staring up at them. "Liona? What are you doing here? I thought you were with Lola in the gym." said Stevey. "I can't find Lola." said Liona. "Really?" asked Buster. "Yeah. One moment she said she had to go get something, the next thing ya know, she don't come back." said Liona. "Come on, we have to check out the auditorium." said Stevey. "Hey guys, what are you all still doin' here?" asked Bugs as he approached the group. Stevey was a bit startled. "We can't find Lola." said Liona. "Can't find Lola eh? When did ya last see her?" asked Bugs. "She went to go get something from the auditoreeum." said Liona. "From the auditorium? Hmmm. . ." thought Bugs. "I wanna go home and eat, I'm hungry." said Liona. "Well, I'll take you two home den." said Bugs. "But we were gonna just . . ." "You can hang out wit dem tomorra, Buster. They've gotta go home." said Bugs as he took some keys out of his pocket. "Come on Liona." said Bugs. Liona took his hand, and they began walking out of the Looniversity. "We'll check out the auditorium tomorrow." said Stevey. "All right, but when? The faculty will probably keep shooing us out because of the play." said Buster. "So we sneak in." said Plucky. "Yeah, and try hard not to get caught. Something tells me that the auditorium holds a lot of answers." said Stevey. "Come on Stevey! Let's go!" shouted Bugs from outside. "I have to go, bye." said Stevey, then he left. "Come on Pluckster, let's head home." said Buster. Then he and Plucky headed to their separate homes. That evening, Stevey and Liona stayed over at Bugs' burrow because they couldn't find Lola at home. Stevey laid on his back in the dark guest bedroom. He just stared at the ceiling, not making a sound, his green eyes piercing the dark. He heard noises, banging noises. But it wasn't from where he was in the burrow, it was from the school. He knew something was wrong, and that Lola was in trouble. Back at the school, Lola was in total and complete darkness, but she stopped kicking. The air was running out, and she knew it. Lola just sat still, trying to conserve air. The next morning, Bugs called Lola's house to see if she was home yet. Liona was on the living room couch just kicking her feet, waiting to hear what Bugs said on the phone. But no answer came, and Bugs hung up. He then scratched his head. "Where's Lola?" asked Liona, getting just a bit worried now. "I dunno kid, I just don't know." said Bugs, looking puzzled as ever. Just then, Stevey came into the living room. "He can't find Lola." said Liona as he came into the room. "Surprise surprise." said Stevey sarcastically as he stood in the living room. "You act like you know sometin'." said Bugs suspiciously. "Well if it isn't Mr. Clever himself suspecting something about the innocent one. The one you should really suspect is that not-so-sweet of a bunny, Honey." said Stevey. "Honey? Now you stop dat. Honey went through a lot yesterday. She was attacked in the auditorium. You shoulda seen 'er. She was so upset." said Bugs. "She used to be an actress, she gave you a Pulitzer prize performance. I know my stuff, and she's no good." said Stevey. Bugs looked at Stevey suspiciously. He always thought that Stevey was the strangest bunny that he'd ever met. "I don't know what Stevey's talking about. But Honey is a lady on the street. I don't like her." said Liona. "Lady on da street?" asked Bugs. "And you're the Looney Tune's most clever character? I pity them." said Stevey as he picked up his bookbag and began walking out the front door. "Where are you going, Stevey?" asked Liona. "School. That's where we're supposed to go now, isn't it?" asked Stevey. Liona got up and went over to Bugs. "Maybe Lola will come back to school." she said while looking up at Bugs. "Yeah, maybe." said Bugs. He was now in deep thought. All the way to driving the kids to school, he thought about all that's happened since Honey came to the Looniversity. Stevey was right; something wasn't right. At school, Honey was already there, and she looked pretty good for someone who just got attacked the previous day. Bugs noticed this as he came into his office where Honey was. "Good mornin Honey." said Bugs. "Morning Bugs." said Honey. Stevey had gone off to class, so it was just Liona in the room with the two. "How are ya feelin?" asked Bugs as he glanced up at her, and began looking over the papers in his "In" folder. "Oh much better. I called some friends of mine and they really helped me to deal with what happened." said Honey, giving another "performance" of hers. Liona looked up at her, and gave her a look. Honey noticed this. "Well what's wrong little Liona? Is something the matter?" she asked in a baby voice. "I'm not little. I'm 5 years old, I'm a big girl." said Liona, then she walked into the teacher's lounge where she usually watched TV. Honey gave her a mean look to the side, but then turned back to Bugs with a nicer look. "What's wrong with her? Is she all right?" asked Honey in a concerned voice. "She's upset. By the way, have you seen Lola?" asked Bugs. "Oh, Lola? No, I haven't. Why, is something the matter?" asked Honey, in another fake concerned voice. "No, not too much really. It's just that we haven't seen her all night. And that's very, strange." said Bugs, looking up at Honey now. His eyes studied her for a moment, and Honey felt slightly intimidated. "Wha . . . you don't think that I know. Why, I never spend any time with her anyway. I mean, I haven't seen her since rehearsal." lied Honey. "Hm. Must be false pretenses I guess." said Bugs as he reached for the phone. "Who are you calling?" asked Honey. Bugs turned to her. "Why do you ask?" he asked. "Well, I just wanted to know. I mean, don't secretaries usually make calls for the principal?" asked Honey. "Well, when it comes to poisanal mattas, like missin' goilfriends, I tink it's safe ta say that I'd make my own calls." said Bugs. Honey was about to say something when she was interrupted by Delilah. "Good morning Mr. Bunny." she said as she entered the room. Honey and Delilah eyed each other for a moment. Then Delilah moved past Honey, and up to Bugs' desk. "The shipment of artificial swords for the play just came in." she said. "Oh, very good." said Bugs. "Where do . . ." Delilah stopped as she turned towards Honey, who was still standing there. She glanced at the clock. "It's 8:30am. Don't you have a class to teach?" asked Delilah. Honey resented Delilah's comment very much, but knew that she couldn't argue with her, not in front of Bugs anyway. "Why yes, my, how the time flies." said Honey, smiling lightly trying to show that she wasn't mad or anything. "I guess I'll see you two later then." she said, then left the room. Delilah then turned back to Bugs. "Anyway, like I was asking before, where do you want the shipment placed?" asked Bugs. Bugs thought for a moment. "In de auditorium, backstage. Have a few students do it durin' lunch." said Bugs. Then he looked up at Delilah, and smiled. She knew what he was thinking. Their suspicions were in sync now. Delilah smiled back. "Very good sir. I'll make sure of that." she said, then walked out of the room. Bugs' smile then turned to a look of worry. He then reached over to a picture of him and Lola at an award's dinner last year, and held it in front of him while his elbows rested on his desk. "Where are ya beautiful?" he asked silently as he admired the picture. In class, during a 'silent' assignment, Stevey and Buster whispered across the walkway to each other. "So, did you find out anything new about Lola?" asked Buster. "Nothing new. I still want to check that auditorium later. Did you get to see it yet?" asked Stevey. "No not yet. I talked to Plucky at our lockers earlier, and he didn't get to check either." said Buster. Someone at the front of the class cleared their throat. Buster and Stevey looked to see Professor LePew crossing his arms as he looked at them. "Ees zere a problem?" he asked. "Heh heh, no, not at all Professor LePew. It's nothing." said Buster sheepishly. Stevey just continued on with his work. Later on during lunch, Stevey, Buster, Babs, Plucky, and Shirley all sat at the table. Hamton and Fifi then passed by. "Did you all here about Ms. Bunny disappearing?" asked Hamton. "Eet ees ze scary news, no?" added Fifi. "Yeah, like, mondo bad." said Shirley. "And ze stranger. Does vous 'ave anyzing to say about zis?" asked Fifi, being suspicious of him. Stevey looked up from trying to decipher what the mystery meat was. "All I know is, it's bad." he said. "Mmhm. Come on mon handsome piggy. Ah see a table over zere with Madam Melody." said Fifi. Then she and Hamton went off. Stevey looked back at his meat, but wasn't concentrating on it anymore. He was thinking, not about Lola, but something else. Shirley could tell. "Like, what's the matter, Steve? Are you like, all right or some junk?" she asked. "He's probably just inhaling too much of the food, he'll be all right." said Plucky unconcernedly. "Like, shut up Plucky." said Shirley. "Yeah Plucky, I wanna hear Stevey's answer. You don't look too good." said Babs. "Not that he ever does." said Plucky under his breath. Shirley's aura zapped him. Stevey sighed, then looked up from his meat. "Is that what everyone in this school thinks?" he asked. "What do you mean?" asked Buster. "The skunk and the pig, I don't know their names. But I can tell how people feel by the way they talk. They suspect me, don't they? That I did something." said Stevey. "They're like that cos they don't know you, that's all. They'll get over it." said Buster. "Yeah, whatever." said Stevey. For the first time, he felt a little sad. He never wanted to be popular or anything. But he certainly didn't want anyone to think that he'd actually harm his own sister either. "Excuse me students of Acme Looniversity. Will three students please come to the principal's office and volunteer to bring supplies for the play tonight, to the backstage of the auditorium please. Thank you." said Delilah's voice over the intercom. The group all looked at each other, Stevey forgetting his personal issues. "This is our chance." said Buster. "Then let's take it." said Stevey as he stood up. "I'll see ya later Babsy." said Buster as he gave Babs a quick kiss. "What are you guys doing?" she asked as Stevey, Buster, and Plucky stood up. "We're going to check out the back of the auditorium. We think Honey might be hiding something." said Buster. "Or someone." said Plucky. "Hey! You're not leaving me out of a mystery blue boy." said Babs as she stood up. "But they only want three students for the boxes." said Plucky. "Well then you stay here scaredy duck. You never help out anyway." said Babs. "Hey! I do too. I peeked into the auditorium earlier today didn't I?" asked Plucky. "Yeah, to like, stare at Ms. Duck's butt." said Shirley as she folded her arms. Plucky's expression agreed with that comment. "Come on Buster, let me go!" pleaded Babs. "All right all right, Pluckster, you stay here." said Buster. "I don't wanna stay here in this cafeteria. I mean, all this mystery meat can't be good for a guy's nostrils." said Plucky. Stevey was becoming impatient. "Let's just go, all four of us. A box has four corners, and we're four. Let's just go." he said. "Good idea." said the rest. "Hey Shirl, don't you wanna come?" asked Babs. "Like, no way. Mysteries and kidnappers are not my thing." said Shirley. "All right, but you're missing out." said Babs. Shirley just began chanting. "Om whatalooniam . . ." The group then went to the principal's office where only Delilah was, since Bugs was out. "Your helpers have arrived. Where's the cargo?" asked Babs. Delilah pointed to a box in the corner. The four then picked it up, each holding a side. "Now, remember, backstage." said Delilah. "Sure." said Buster, a smile on his face. The crew eagerly hurried to the stage area, and hurried backstage. There, they put down the box and began looking around. Stevey's eyes focused on every detail. He had been backstage before, and he knew how everything should look. "There was an attack." said Stevey. "How can you tell?" asked Buster. "The floor, it has new scratches. The air was disturbed by screams. There's a string from rope over there in the corner." replied Stevey. "Good observation." said Babs in am impressed manner. "Thanks." said Stevey. "But how can we use these clues?" asked Plucky as he looked around. Just then, Stevey saw some fur near one part of stage. He then walked over to it. "Look, it's Lola's fur." said Stevey. The other three came over to him. "Great, another clue. But where does that leave us?" asked Buster. "Look! There's a door here!" said Babs as she felt the trap door. She then began pushing down on it. Lola from underneath the stage heard it, and began screaming again, though she was running out of air. "It's Lola!" they all shouted together. The crew then began pulling on the door, but it was tough to budge. "We're coming Mrs. Bunny!" said Buster as he helped pull on the door. Suddenly, they heard a voice; it was Honey's! "And I told you, keep guard back here at all times! I won't tell you again, I'll just have you killed!" shouted Honey. "Stop!" said Babs. They all did so, and because there wasn't a place to hide, they just went back to the corners of the box, and pretended as if they were setting it down again. Honey and two of her guards then came backstage and saw the toons. Honey looked a little surprised, which quickly turned to what seemed like anger. "What are you all doing back here?" she asked. "Just dropping off a box, of supplies, for the play." said Buster as he and the others set it down again. "Uh huh, well, just make sure that you get out as soon as possible." said Honey, then she did a fake sweet smile. "You wouldn't want to disturb the preparations for the play." she said. "Of course not. We'll just be going now." said Plucky, and he pulled he, Buster, and Babs away. Stevey just stood there, staring at Honey for a moment. Honey could tell that he knew what she was doing, what she had done. "I suggest that you run along too, little boy." said Honey. "I'm not little." said Stevey a little lower than usual, then he walked away. Honey watched after him as he left, then she went over to the trap door where Lola was wonder. "Have enough air?" she gloated as she stamped on the top, giving Lola a headache to have along with the lack of air. Honey then stood atop there and smirked; she knew that she was going to get her way, no matter what. All day, the toons weren't able to get into the backstage to save Lola, so they had to wait until the play. The auditorium was filled that night with people in the play, as well as audience members coming in. Stevey and Liona weren't part of the play, but they got front row seats. Stevey left Liona in the front row while he went to Bugs' office where he was supposed to be practicing the lines one last time with Honey. When Stevey got there, he saw them both inside. Honey had gotten into the habit of touching Bugs, whether it be his arm, or his back, everytime they practiced. It bothered Stevey, so he just walked in, unannounced. Bugs looked relieved to see him. "Hey." said Bugs as he saw him. "Hello." said Stevey, looking at Honey though. "Oh, hello. We were just practicing." said Honey, probably hinting a bit that Stevey should go. "I need to talk to Bugs." said Stevey. "What is it kid?" asked Bugs. "Alone." said Stevey, still staring at Honey. Honey glared back at him, then she left the room. Stevey watched her leave with the look of disgust on his face. He then turned to Bugs, and went up to his desk. "So, what's up kiddo?" asked Bugs. "It's about Lola, I know where she is." said Stevey. "You do?! Where?" asked Bugs. "Backstage, underneath a trap door. I don't think that much oxygen is getting in there." said Stevey. "Why didn't you get her out of dere den?!" asked Bugs, being slightly agitated. "Because Honey found me and the others, and she had these guards with her." said Stevey. "Dis is awful. Come on kid, we gotta go save 'er." said Bugs as he and Stevey left the room. As they came out, Delilah, in her costume, stopped in front of them. "Great, you're coming. The play starts in 5 minutes." she said. "Oh no, we have to save Lola." said Bugs. "What? You found out what happened?" asked Delilah. "Honey locked her underneath the backstage." said Stevey. "Oh that's awful!" exclaimed Delilah. "But the show must go on, so we're gonna have ta make a plan." said Bugs. "We're all ears." said Delilah. Back at the auditorium, the audience was fidgeting, ready for the play to start. The hustle and bustle going on backstage concealed Lola's very last attempt at screaming. Mary Melody, in a nice dress, came out to the front of the curtain before it opened. "And now, ladies and gentlemen. Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet." she said, then walked off stage as everyone cheered. Bugs, Delilah, and Stevey soon arrived backstage. "Now rememba da plan." said Bugs. Stevey and Delilah nodded. For the most part, the play went on as usual. Then came the scene that would reveal everything. One of the acts was just about to end when Stevey went backstage, and began trying to open the hatch where Lola was in again. As usual, it wouldn't budge. The act ended, and Honey went backstage, and saw Stevey doing this. She got very mad, and went after him. "I suggest that you stop that." she said while standing near him. "You can't make me." said Stevey boldly. The next act had started out side, and Honey was needed, but she was too occupied with Stevey. She then grabbed Stevey by the neck. "I said, stop it." she said as she choked him. Her hands wrapped around his neck so tight that he could hardly breathe, or yell out the words he was supposed to for the plan. He gasped and hacked and coughed, until he finally was able to yell out. "Now!" he shouted. Delilah then pulled the rope to lift the curtains to show backstage. Everyone on stage, and in the audience saw Honey trying to choke Stevey to death. Honey only realized this as she heard the audience gasp. She looked towards them, and her face turned bright red. But then she let go of Stevey, and began running. However, she was caught by the police that Delilah had called earlier. "Now where's the victim?" asked one of the officers that wasn't holding Honey down. "Over here." said Bugs, and he led them to the trap door. They used crowbars, and opened it up. Inside, Lola was limp and almost unconscious. Bugs immediately lifted her out and untied her. "Lola? Baby? Are you okay?" he asked her as he gently patted her face to revive her. Lola saw Bugs face clearly, even with her blurry vision. She smiled weakly. "You found me." she said. Bugs smiled. "Yeah, I did. And I neva wanna lose ya again." he said. "Come on people! Let's get this lady some oxygen!" shouted one of the officers. "And take the perp away." he added. "This is demeaning! This is unfair! You'll be hearing from my lawyer!" shouted Honey as she was dragged away. Bugs just ignored her and held Lola as she came to. Buster and Babs then held each other. "Ya know, it's in times like these when you realize just how much someone means to you." said Buster. Babs smiled at him. In a couple of days, Lola was feeling much better. Stevey, Buster, Babs, Shirley, and Plucky were all sitting at the table eating lunch when Fifi and Hamton came by. "'Ello missuer Stevey!" said Fifi. "Hello." said Stevey as he turned to them. "Gee, we're really sorry for suspecting you. I mean, we shoulda known you weren't like that." said Hamton. For the first time ever, Stevey smiled a little. "Thanks." he said. "Hey look! He's smiling!" said Babs. Stevey looked away from them, and went back to eating, well, the parts of his food that actually looked mildly normal. He was shy about smiling, as it wasn't his thing. "Maybe he's not so bad after all." said Plucky. "That's fer like, sure." said Shirley. Just then, the bell rang, and the students all began getting up to go to their next class. "Hey Stevey, I just noticed something." said Buster. "What?" asked Stevey. "The padlock isn't on your pants anymore." said Buster. Stevey glanced down. "Yeah, well, I decided that pants were okay. Besides, I wouldn't wanna end up walking around like you." he said. Shirley, Plucky, and Babs snickered as Buster pulled his shirt down as far as it would go, and blushed. "Come on blue boy, let's go!" said Babs, and she grabbed him by the ears, and into the next class. Later on that day, after school was done, Delilah was walking to Bugs' office when she met up with Daffy. "Hi sweetie." said Delilah and she gave him a quick kiss. "Hey hon, where are you going?" asked Daffy. "To Bugs' office to drop off some papers." said Delilah. "Mind some company?" asked Daffy. "Not at all." smiled Delilah. When they got to the house, Delilah opened the door. She and Daffy saw Lola in Bugs' lap, and they were kissing. Daffy snickered. His snickering alerted Bugs and Lola, who turned to look at who was there. Daffy was snickering, while Delilah was just smiling. Bugs and Lola's faces turned red from embarrassment. "Now that's what I like to see. Bugs and Lola together, instead of that, other, girl." said Delilah. "Heh heh, uh, when did uh, you two get here?" asked Bugs. "Just in time." said Daffy. Delilah elbowed him. "Cut it out Daffy." Then she walked over to the desk. "Here you go Mr. Bunny, the paperwork you asked for." she said as she put it on his desk. "Tanks." said Bugs. "So, how's everything going?" asked Delilah. "Very well. So well, that Bugs is taking me out tonight." said Lola. "Oh, how sweet." said Delilah, smiling. "Where are you going?" asked Daffy. "Chez Donne's restaurant. I got some gift certificates in the mail, so I said, heh, might as well us 'em on de loveliest goil I know." said Bugs proudly. "Wow! That place is high class! You wouldn't, uh, happen to have any extra certificates, would you?" asked Daffy. "Sorry, we already gave them away." said Lola. "To who?!" asked Daffy, upset that someone else had "his" gift certificates. "To us!" exclaimed two familiar voices. Daffy and Delilah turned to see Buster and Babs standing in the doorway. "Lucky stiffs." mumbled Daffy. "Well, I hope you all have a great time." said Delilah. "Yeah, whatever." sulked Daffy as he left the room with Delilah. "You big baby." said Delilah as she walked close to Daffy. "Yeah, I know." said Daffy, putting an arm around Delilah's shoulder. Then they just walked out of the Looniversity. "Thanks for the gift certificates Professor Bunny!" Buster and Babs both exclaimed. "No problem." said Bugs with a smile. Then Buster and Babs left. Bugs turned back to Lola. He looked at her for a moment. "Your beautiful." he said. Lola smiled. "And you're the best bunny honey in the world." she said back. Then Bugs kissed her, and Lola pulled down the scene shades in front of the audience. THE END.
